A new look and a new colour

Posted by on September 9, 2004  |  No Comments

I’ve changed the whole look of the website and added a bit more stuff at the sidebar. Changed the “Your Say” column to match the colour theme…which is blue. Oh yeah, please notify me if this this page loads too slow or if there is any other way to improve it. Like maybe too many posts in one page {Point noted Sids! I’m still trying to adjust the optimum num of posts}

About today, watched the Latte at 8 on 8TV live from Starbucks, Sunway Piramid. Wish I had a car to drive down there but anyway, they had Bernie Chan (sp?) and Seven-Collar T-shirt (at least i think that’s the name of that band). Kinda cool!

Evenstarr is having a concert this Sunday and I wuz so excited about going. However, I just found out that we’re driving down to Tanjung Malim to celebrate my grandmother’s birthday. :’( Noo!!!!!!! I’m still thinking of a good excuse to go. Need to reason with my dad but he’s on a business trip and wont be back until tomorrow or day after. Daymm!! I have to go!! I was telling Silas (the lead singer) that they should inform me if they had a gig in KL….and they did. Their webmaster msged me asking me to go and he even offered to give me a t-shirt if i introduced myself to one of the guys. Hehe!

A lil dissapointed………………….

Oh yeah…i kno wat’s dat guy’s name, the one with Harith, Aflin Shauki….but not sure about the spelling tho.

My weekend in Melaka wuz rather fun

Posted by on September 7, 2004  |  No Comments

I stayed in AFamosa resort from Fri – Sun and it wuz real fun. My dad’s company had their Family Day there so everything was paid for. We missed going to the Cowboy Town coz we left KL late. We went to eat dinner at Shakey’s Pizza before leaving. {One note, their pizza crust is lousy….smells like yeast and too thick. Their stromboli is nice tho :)}

On Sat we had a telematch and it wuz really amusing too see grownups playing with such youthful enthusiam. To cut it short, it wuz outrageously funny! Then my youngest sis & I went to WaterWorld and played with all the water rides. We had a minor accident on one of d slides…..we sat on double tubes (like 2 tubes stuck together like an 8) and someone or another it overturned and I banged my head on d slide hard….twice! My youngest sis banged her cheek (which turned blue black the next day). It wuz painful….!! esp since i had my head banged once or twice earlier in the week….thanks to Gladys.

On Sun we went to the Safari Park where we saw animals (duh!) like racoons, otters, armadillo, tapir, pony, camel, flamingo, lion, giraffe, monkeys….ect ect. The racoons were totally cute!! Watched a Wild Wild West show which wuz nice and an animal trick show which wuz ok.

And that concludes my weekend. Oh yeah…i forgot to mention something last week. On my flight from KLIA to Bangkok, I met Harith Iskandar and d other comedian…his name is on the tip of my tongue…and they sat a few seats behind me.

I’ve attached some pics below…enjoy! Some pics might look distorted coz i had to resize them

My sis and I outside Cowboy Town

In Safari Park posing wif Camels. I wuz trying to kick my sis who isnt in the pic

My sis with one of the actors from the Wild Wild West show who also happens to be an animal trainer. Nice bod :P

The final scene in the Wild Wild West show

A Tigress in the wild….we were riding in a caged truck..its like the animals were observing us…instead of us them.

New Apple iMac…..& a lil something on FF XII

Posted by on September 3, 2004  |  1 Comment

Came across an article about the new iMac from Apple. I’ve never had an apple but I love their software, especially those for editing movies (iMovie)….back to the new design. I think it’s great…no more white helmet thingy at the bottom. This looks neater…and the fact that the CDROM drive is slot in adds to its attractiveness. It really matches the iPod look…..coz it wuz made by the same designers. If you want to kno more, read it here

Final Fantasy XII prologue

A warrior takes sword in hand,
Clasping a gem to his heart.
Engraving vanishing memories into the sword,
He places finely honed skills into the stone.
Spoken from the sword, handed down from the stone…
Now the story can be told…

That is the story of a world called Ivalice.

The strong military kingdom known as the Arcadia Empire
That rules the Valentia Continent,
And the Rosalia Empire that rules the Ordalia Continent
Have been continuously at war for long years.

In the midst of it, Arcadia Empire invaded the small kingdom of Dalmasca,
Positioned in the hallway between the two continents and thus is geopolitically important.

Under the invasion of the Arcadia Empire, the Dalmasca Kingdom accepted defeat.
But Ashe, the rightful heir to the trone of Dalmasca,
Joined the resistance army movements to fight against the empire.

The enemy’s chase and attack of this girl with the liberation of her mother nation in heart is severe,
But, she can not be defeated.
At this moment, she meets the young man Vaan.
With this meeting, begins the change in Ashe’s heart.

And thus…

The meeting of these two people will greatly change the story of this world.

FF12 is due to be released at the second half of this year on PS2 in Japan. Too bad i dont have PS2 :( But anyway, below is the logo, and pictures of the two main characters. For more information on the game, click here.

Thumbnail of Official logo for FF12…..i think the character shown is probably the bad guy which is a big change compared to previous logos for the game as it usually has the main characters. And it’s really big compared to the rest.

Ashe…..her character reminds me of Rinoa Heartilly (FF8) because she’s part of a reformation movement. Hehe…

Vaan…the main male character….strong influences of previous FF male characters….his hair is like Squall (FF8).

~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~
Now about me…im leaving to Melaka in a few hours for the weekend so I’ll talk more on that when i come back. see ya!!
Tired and bored
Posted by on September 2, 2004  |  No Comments
Didnt really do a lot of things today…had a headache so woke up really late, after 12 pm..ehhehe…den at night watch some TV. I watched CSI : Miami…my fave…I’ve got the PC game but i think there’s something wrong with it coz I cant get to the next level even if i follow walkthroughs….frustrating but what to do.
Currently juz spending time playing computer games…..one game in particular : Age of Mythology by Microsoft Games. Never thought I’d get hooked playing strategy games but it all started when Yappy – my so-called “younger bro” & close fren in KK – lent me his “Age of Empires” and it got really fun to play. Hehe!! Miss them in KK :’(
Managed to watch “Latte at 8″….this talkshow in Starbucks, Sunway Piramid with Jason Lo as the host. J.Lo, as he is affectionatly known, is great as a talk show host…..sarcastic & funny. Anyway they had Asha Gill (famous TV personality & popular in Channel V) and she was really cracking jokes (some not so “innocent”) and flirting wif JLo at times to embaress him. Totally not what i expected from someone popular.
Oh ya, wuz reading this article titled “the goodness of kissing” and i wanted to quote something amusing::
“For every ten minutes you kiss your sweetie, you’ll lose about ten calories. How cool is that? That’s still no excuse for not getting proper exercise, though! By the way, kissing helps to tone your cheek and jaw muscles since you do use them a lot! With such toned cheek and jaw muscles, it helps to keep your face looking a bit younger. ” Wat a great way to workout..LOL!!
I’m going to Melaka Fri night for my dad’s company (Carigali-Triton) family in A Famosa Resort……lazy to pack!! And i need to wake up early to go to take my new IC….yay! No more using my old one in which i look like a “monster”. I hate using my old one with my ugly black and white pic……immigration officers in airports always look twice to make sure it’s me. Hope the pic turns out good coz my sis’ turned out bad..ehhehe!!
p/s : Got into a massive fist fight wif my sister yesterday. Ended up with a few scratched and bruises. My head hurts like hell coz she knocked it on the wall…but she has this cut under her left eye. Im still not talking to her.
Back from Bangkok
28th Aug – 31st Aug
I had a really interesting time in Bangkok. Apparently, ppl thought we were Thai, Philipino and Singaporean. LOL!!
Stuff wuz so cheap (exchange rate is RM 1 = 10 baht)….its like shoppin in Petaling Street…but i didnt really buy much. We (my family & I) did a lot of sight-seeing
  • Grand Palace – Big courtyard with the palace & other admin offices
  • Siam center, MBK Plaza – shopping
  • The Golden Mount – this big temple which is gold and we had to walk up countless of stairs
  • Thai restaurants
  • A river cruise (and dinner) along the Chou Phraya river
I especially liked the river cruise…coz it was a new experience for me. Except that the band so “pok” (duno how to translate this)!!!!!!! Lousy..!! and they even had this Mat Rock singer…OMG! Uh….bad experience..dat part. I managed to see a lot of nice buildings along the river bank and the “main attraction” – according to the brochure – was the biggest suspension bridge in the world – no idea whether it’s true or not?
Shopping….i didnt really buy a lot of things…juz a couple of souviners for ppl back here. Oh yeah…but i did buy 2 things which i absolutly love. One is a pure silver pendant studded wif rubies & cubic zirconia (sp?) and another is a decorative light which is like christmas lights but each bulb is covered with coloured dried leaves to give the impression of flowers…really nice!!! hope to post up a pic soon. But anyway here are some pics of the trip…
Enjoy!!!!!
