kalo sensitip, masuk gua, dok sorang sorang

best plak baca blog entry si Puteri nie. Aku dok baca pon rasa marah. Hello if you cant take joking banter, please go shove something up ur arse, preferably something long and hard like this. I remembered a time i had a very insulting comment on my tagboard but i manage to find out where it was from. And that person was probably jealous :P

One more thing the online world is an open one..and its common for information to be distributed. So if you have a website/blog/photo album online be aware of the risks of information being distributed. If you would like ur blog to be friends only, open a blog in LiveJournal coz it offers an option for your posts to be public, friends only or private.

I had a rough week the past week been sick on and off and lotsa assignments were due (some overdue coz they completely slipped my mind). I’ve been lazy and lifeless and sometimes i just feel like screaming (i should try it one day out my 12th floor window).

I must snap out of this…and soon….exams are coming up.

On sunday was Andre’s bday so we had potluck at her place…she lives within walking distance. I hvnt met Andre & Sid for a long time since I before i went back to Miri – i turned down too many of their invitations that they finally didnt bother to ask me out anymore i guess :P – then we went to watch Starwars, Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith (eh is that correct?). Im a “starwars virgin” la..never watched any episode before…but this one is pretty good. Anakin is so wimpy tho…lol

I hv exams on the 31st, 2nd, 6th, 7th and 11th. And I hv an assignment due today (which im left with 10% more) an assignment due tomorrow (its an online website assignment) , a presentation on my cybercrime law and also a business management assignment due this Friday (27th). Oh Joy! *sarcastic*

But in the midst off all that hustle bustle, i have a satay dinner planned on the 29th and a potluck dinner planned for 30th nite (im making cheesecake hopefully). Yay!!

Not to mention a friend in the US says she’s going to get me an iPod for my birthday in September. Hehehe….dont get jealous mervy :P

Miri, My City

Posted by on May 20, 2005  |  No Comments

Miri, a small town in Sarawak, situated next to Brunei is where I was born and was raised for the first 12 years of my life. Things were simpler then, being a small town, the people were friendly and you often felt as if you knew the everyone in it. I had many happy memories in Miri, cant really recall any bad ones.

Many people say that Miri is a small sleepy hollow. Yes, i agree that it isnt the bustling metropolitan like Kuala Lumpur, but it has its own unique qualities. Beautiful, untouched beaches, large caves, forests, waterfalls – natural wonders which are not available in most places.

Reading his blog brought back memories of the times i had in Miri. Playing with slippers opposite SRK Lutong (my primary school), the benches we used to sit on in class (there were no plastic chairs then), walking around Lutong town, that icecream man by the beach, the kacang kuda seller at Bulatan Park, the boys playing football in the roundabout, cycling all around my housing area from Pujut 10 to pujut 4, picking fresh mangoes from the tree behind my house, cutting tebu from my best friend’s neighbour, going to Lambir waterfall (which my mother pronounced as “lambil”), participating in the Science fair at Dewan Suarah (the library) where i always borrowed books, Swimming in GCM (a sports club), swimming in KSL (Kelab Shell Lutong), climbing trees in the Miri Church compound, speaking Iban & Sarawak Malay (not too sure how to speak iban now).

Friends i left behind, Gabriel, Grace, Daniel, Rizal, that chinese boy who sat next to me in class – Lim or Lee something (?), Diomera, Mitchel, Michelle who lived next to me, Justin, Diana, Angelina, Evangeline, Kim…ect ect, the list is endless

Congrats Miri, on becoming a City :D

Posted by on May 19, 2005  |  4 Comments

Ok this is the first time im making creme caramel which i got from AuntyN. Tak sangka si Delinn pon wat puding caramel gak. Recipe ada kat link AN tu..tapi i dah omit the jagung. bukan sbb aku allergic jagung..tapi aku suka caramel biasa jek…kalo ngan jagung mcm pelik gitu.

Yang dua org tu..letak recipe…tak letak gambar…so aku letak gambar..tapi tak letak recipe. Linn, lain kali aku try recipe ko laks…

AuntyN’s Creme Caramel (nie aku kopipes dari blog ko ya AN :P)

Bahan-bahan
5 biji telur (saiz besar)
1 tin (405 g) susu cair (Ideal yang terbaik lah)
1/2 tin (1/2 dari 500 g) condense milk
7 – 8 sudu besar gula
1 tin jagung (cream style)
2 sudu besar tepung kastard
1 tin air (gunakan tin susu cair)

Cara-cara membuatnya

Image hosted by Photobucket.comb) Cara membuat Puding

Image hosted by Photobucket.com7. Masukkan adunan cecair ini ke dalam tin pembakar yang mempunyai gula hangus beku.
8. Masukkan bekas ke dalam steamer dan kukus lebih kurang selama 30 minit sehingga 45 minit. Api jangan kuat nanti dia jadi bersarang. Slow fire and slightly longer is better.
9. Bila sudah masak, tak nampak cair dah adunan tu, angkat dan sejukkan.
10. Bila dah sejuk terbalikkan puding ke atas pinggan.
11. Hiaskan dengan mix fruit atau sliced peaches yang dalam tin tu

Gambar yg kiri tu lepas dah kukus…….yg kat kanantu lepas aku terbalikkannya….actually aku lupa nak tunggu dier cool down sbelum terbalikkan..so dier hancur skit. Pastu aku lupa lak letak gula dlm step (5) so dier tak cukup manis. Takpe…next time leh try lagi :P

Note : On my 2nd attempt, i tapis-ed the egg and the texture was nicer and smoother.

Shopping for Veggies

Posted by on May 19, 2005  |  4 Comments

Edit : its HER FRIEND who saw the cucumber, not her

As her FRIEND (not her, just HER FRIEND) was walking around in Boulevard Supermarket in Miri, this is what she saw in the vegetable department. Brings a new meaning to shopping for veggies doesnt it? ;)

Not to mentioned that i’ve expended my presence on the web by joining Friendster, Myspace (whr i also mantain a blog which is less updated than this) and Muliply. And also uploaded photos in Fotopages, Flickr and Textamerica.

Anyway..looking back at my archives, i find a couple posts that are interesting…
here(trip to bangkok)…here(meeting old frens)…here(my wish list – still unfulfiled)…here(Sex in the city)…here(First time to Zouk)…here(2004 flashback)…and here.

Of Coffee Beans and mamak stalls

Posted by on May 11, 2005  |  1 Comment

*I actually wrote this post some time ago but it dissapeared. Then the 2nd time i wrote it, my internet connection in the uni died on me. The 3rd time i wrote it offline, i was almost finished then my PC hanged and i lost most of it. Now i know how he feels when his post is always lost*

I went out with a few online friends yesterday (Saturday). First I met up with Zam (leri) at Low Yat. I’ve met Zam before for lunch at KLCC and he’s a nice guy and very good in this IT/Computer things so i brought him to help me look around for HDs & DVD Burners. But then my dad said he’s getting my cuzzie to get it from me so I met leri thr and decided to just walk around

Then Al Reiko (yes that’s his real name) called saying that Hafiz (who’s staying in UK but is in KL for the week) and him were in Lot 10 so the 4 of us went to the Coffee Bean nearby for some drinks. I had my usual – The Ultimate ice blended – and hafiz paid for our drinks.

We had a fun time laughing and talking till it was around 10pm. We decided to go to “the best nasi lemak in KL” (which i forgot whr) and took the monorail there. Leri had to go take his car from KLCC tho. We had our dinner/supper thr. Im not a big nasi lemak fan but the rice was really “lemak” tho the sambal was just mediacore. The beef rendang was yummy and really pedas.

Then i had my first ota-ota (sp?). Its some fish thingy wrapped in some leaves and grilled. It was really yummy, between the 4 of us, we bantai 20 pieces. Its gelatin-like and like reddish.

After that we went cruising around KL to look at the sights and sounds in Leri’s car. Hafiz has not been back for the past 12 years or so so we pusing pusing around KL. We also stopped by in Concorde Hotel- where Hafiz was staying – because he wanted to make an international phone call back home to his wifey.

Concorde is a really nice hotel. There was this indian couple having their wedding dinner and everyone was wearing so nice lah, gowns, suits, sarees with glittery jewels. We saw a Ferrari parking outside Concorde and someone cracked this joke about ferileri/feleri coz Leri was ferrying us around.

Then went to Mydina restaurant near KLCC (JLn Pinang i think) sat and chit chatted somemore. Cracked lots of jokes – particularly about stuff and people in the chat room. Left at around 2.30am, sent Hafiz & reiko back to Concorde, got stuck in a jam twice in KL (road block & accident) and got back at 3.30am.

Got locked out…so had to sms my dad to open the door. Lucky he was too sleepy to get angry.
