M! The Opera is a new music composition that has been produced by some of Malaysia’s finest creative talents.

Composed by Saidah Rastam, text written by Jit Murad and with a cast of over 35 wonderfully talented young stars this is a production that could only have evolved in Malaysia today, reflecting all the different communities and elements that have made Malaysia what it is in this day and age. M grows up in Kampung Baru, where he watches and learns as his seamstress mother makes women beautiful.

Following rigorous training in industrial Japan M becomes a legendary fashion designer. Sepi, a beautiful childhood friend, is his Muse.

Then Kerabat, an outrageous designer, emerges…

M! The Opera explores the dramatic struggle between those who have found fame and love, and those who are about to achieve them, all set in the sumptuous world of couture.

I went to watch M! the Opera at Istana Budaya yesterday. Limkokwing is a “Corporate Alliance Partner – Silver” (what ever that means) but i heard they gave bout RM80K (i think) to the production. Anyway so LKW had a whole bunch of free tickets and they gave it to the staff and the choir members :D so I managed to get a RM150 ticket free :D

Anyway, it was my first time in IB and we had to wear kinda formal. So i put on this blue dress which was already dusty coz it was underused. But Nick said it was too short and rejected it so I had to juz wear a blue skirt and black top with this nice blue selendang (curi-ed from Mom) and had a glittery handbag (curi-ed from my sis)

The show was really good. Khir from Iklim was M! and Doreen T was Sepi, his muse, childhood friend and main actress/singer of the show.

Database+allowance

Had my database Lab exam today. Was quite easy so I hope i score *crosses fingers* It started at 3.15 pm. The lecturer is cool..he even let me use earphones and listen to my music while i was doin it.

Been realizing that Im lousy at saving money. Am so broke that I’ve already started using next month’s allowance. I spend an average of RM6 at uni everyday (RM5 for nasi campur+rm2 for drinks) but i dont eat everyday.

Went I went out wif pammy on Sunday, I juz got my allowance for April in my account. Was utterly broke so had to withdraw. On that day i spent:

• Lunch at banana leaf = RM14
• Bread = RM 4
• Starbucks for drinks & dinner = RM 20
• Reload for my handphone = RM30

Grand total for one day of outing…from 11am – 10pm = RM69

Then yesterday met up with old friends, coz they juz started their semester in KDU:

• Lunch at uni (nasi campur+mineral water) = RM 6
• Pretzel = RM3
• Movie = RM10
• Dinner at teppanyaki = RM12

Grand total for half a day of uni & half a day of outing = RM31

Today, had lunch (RM5) – nasi campur (again!) and had to buy 2 floppy disks for my exams = RM3. Total = RM8

So in 3 days..I’ve already used RM108 of my allowance for April. And its not even the first….im sooo screwed

KDU & Date movie

Wanted to go to the gym yesterday but had to wait for a call from the TM guys about my internet. Manatau they never ended up calling.

So i went to OU to meet up with Pam, Sid, Andre, Cass & Sam (all budak KDU). Met up with them at Secret Recipe. Then went to buy tickets for Date Movie. Before the movie started, we went to the arcade to play games. LOL! really macam budak la playing the drum game, the shooting game and the Photo Hunt game.

The movie was kind of lousy. Should have just got the cd/dvd instead. The movie is kind of like scary movie (which makes fun of horror movies) but it makes fun of date movies such as “Bridget Jones’ Diary”, “The Wedding planner”, “hitch”, ect. The spoofs were not as funny as I expected after watching the trailer. In fact, most of it was kind of lame. Plus it was all jumbled up together in no specific pattern due to the multiple scenes from other movies. Rating : 1 out of 5 stars

p/s: yesterday’s sit down session was (to me) more of a ‘shoot fi’ session. But anyway, things have been resolved, which is good………i guess

Hartamas-Bangsar-KLPAC

Last weekend was fun! Pam suda balik from KK so we hung out. First go makan at Hartamas Square wif Azril, Arip & pammy on Sat nite. Had spaghetti which cheese sauce…yummy yummy. Azril had fried oysters which was fantastic. Pam’s pizza was also not bad.

Lepaked in Mosin with the original mosin group – Poker, arip, basha, me – plus pam & firhan (sp?) and gossip chit chat till early morning. Went over to pam’s place to tidur and gossip chit chat summore till we fell asleep.

Sunday afternoon went to bangsar and had banana leaf rice with pam, erin & nick. So yummylicious. Pam had nasi briyani summore…sedap sehingga menjilat jari.

Then went to KLPAC to watch Homecoming – plot was kinda confusing and messy. Honestly i didnt really get it. I’d rate it a 2 out of 5 stars.

After that, Pam & I went to Tesco to buy some stuff then went to Starbucks to sit down and have a drink and gossip more chit chat. I tried out the Caramel Streusal Latte (rich, buttery and sweet) & the Cajun chicken dome (not so nice la..kinda pedas summore).

Went back, did my work and went to sleep. Oh ya….my internet is down for the week coz i changed my hse phone number.

A 15-hr day & driving classes

Last Tuesday I had 9am-5pm classes. AND i stupidly left my hp at home. So couldnt contact anyone but sempat to tell my dad to get my mom to switch off the phone and tell her that i forgot my phone. So left the house around 8am and had straight classes till aroun 4.30 pm. Because erin & nick went back early (they finished classes at 11.30am) I had to wait for 6.30pm to take the Cyberjaya-One Utama bus back.Lepaked in the lab till about 6.20pm then went to wait for the bus. It was raining…then the bus was late. Reached OU about 7.30pm then went to go see my sis who is working at one of the retail stores there. Managed to use her phone and got the news that our car broke down so my mom could not pick me up at that time.Windowshopped for a bit (coz no money) and went to buy the ticket coupon for the Cyberjaya-OU bus – its RM30 for a booklet of 10 coupons, meaning RM3 per trip. Went for dinner at Zuup..been craving for their soups in a bread bowl. Customer service was excellent….but i was the only customer :P Had New England Clam Chowder and water = RM 17 but it was really filling coz of all the bread. Yes i finished it all :P sampai makan mangkuk skali..

After my yummylicious dinner, I juz sat there and lepaked, read magazines till around 10pm coz Gladys was supposed to finish at that time. manatau i tunggu tunggu there for her to finish and she only got off at around 10.30 then we had to wait for the taxi. Finally got home at 11am – FIFTEEN (15) hours after i left the house at 8 am. Was bloody tired..

Had no classes yesterday, so went for driving in the morning with my sister. Was kinda funny to see her mati engine so many times…okla..i’ll admit i did mati engine a few times. Was really bored tho, i even fell asleep at the back of the kancil while waiting for my turn. LOL!

Joe nie kan….tak abis abis PM, tak abis-abis tanya itu ini. Ish ish ish!! Rasa nak lempang. Rasa nak letak Stealth settings je…letak id joe tu in Invinsible. Nak je off phone..biar dier tension skit :P Nak je guna duit to shopping kat KLCC tengahari Saturday tuh. Nasib baik i tak guna duit tuh.

“Ada yg mereka cerita “ntah² pasni Joe call lagik kasitau saprais ke-2 -> “dia tak jadi belanjaaaa!!!.” Ada yg dah tunjuk muka cuak dah..hahaha!”

Sib baik lom order makan lagik :p ! so mula la order tak henggat. Yg diet dan yg dah makan petang tadi tu, macam teragak² nak order jugak, sib baik derang kuatkan hati tak jadi order. Yg minum coke tadi tukar order amik milkshake :p, yg order fish n cip trus tukar amik ikan masak pelik². Hohoho! ye lah orang jauh belanjakan..kesian plak kalau tak abiskan..

Masa bergambar reramai (anak ikan jadi kameramen), aku saspek ramai yg senyum kat anak ikan, bukan kat kamera :p

I think the gathering was a success. I hope everyone had lots of fun. Best plak organize gathering macam nie. Lain kali kalo nak I organize lagi no problem :P

Of Zouk & being blur-to-the-max

Thursday night went to KLCC with Erin to meet up with Mag (my close friend from KK) and Khai (a friend from Brunei). Had dinner at Signatures (the food court at 2nd flr) – had a too salty Fettucini Carbonara.

We walked down to Rum Jungle to drop Mag to meet up with her colleagues. And Erin & I went to look see. It was filled with lots of pakciks makciks older people (more guys than ladies) and the DJ was kinda lame. Music was kind of old school oso lah

After that, Khai, Erin & I proceeded to Zouk for Ghetto Heaven @ Zouk Mainroom. Ladies went in free, but cover charge that night was RM35+ 2 drinks of house pouring liquor or beer or coke not to sure about mineral water as some “malaysian actress” claim she was drinking. Khai had (yet another) beer and passed me one of his drinks coupon so i had a shot to tequila (on top of my 5-6 glasses of vodka kurant+coke). Felt deliciously tipsy – the greatest feeling in the world when clubbing.

Was there about 11.45pm and was dancing from 12.30 till 2am. Straight! Lucky was not wearing heels. hehe!! DJ goldfish and Tbone rocked the house. I was waiting for my song *beep* (by BEP) which they FINALLY played at 2am. hehe!! after that went back home.

Went to KLCentral to meet some people then decided to go window shopping at KLCC – popped into a few shops…i lurve looking at stuff in Kinokuniya..wana buy new books!! Went to go see the new Sony mp3 player…nice la (but im still eyeing my iPod nano). [Blur Case ONE]Then i thought I had this dinner at Ikano at 8pm so I rushed from KLCC to Ikano to book a place before i realized that it was actually the next day. Fuck! Dammit….so i took a bus back to KJ before goin back to KLCC to watch movie. I kept thinking that it was Saturday. Coz i was out the whole day lepaking – a typical Saturday activity.

Reached KLCC kinda late, around 10pm, most shops were closing. But was hungerii so we went to eat at San Fran Steakhouse. Didnt know what to order so ended up ordering Clam Chowder soup (nothing fantastic), Wild Mushroom soup (not nice & the cinnamon makes it taste weird) and Lamb Shank (mash potatoes were good but the lamb had this smell and tasted yukky. The secret recipe one is yummier!). All in all, what we had was nothing fantastic. Oh, the bill was tho. Should have eaten at Chinoz, nicer food.

Wanted to watch Triston & Isolde but someone didnt want to watch love stories so we watched Final Destination 3. The beginning part was slow…but the dying part (which everyone was waiting for) was gory. ew ew ew~!! FD3 was not much different from all the other FD movies.

Blur case 2
Sent someone off at Putra bus station then dropped by at PWTC to go see Mag who was working at the MATTA fair. She was in the Sabah booth (btw anyone who wants promotions in Sabah, do tell me, i can get you in touch with her) which was on the 3rd or 4th floor. So I went all the way up there then got stopped.

Lady : Can i see your ticket please?
Me :huh? what ticket?
Lady : You have to have a ticket to get in
Me : How much eh? and where to get?
Lady : RM3, buy it downstairs

Then i had to go down all the way, line up to buy a ticket, then go back up. Had a good talk with Mag while she had lunch. Was soo nice talking to an old friend

Blur case 3
Supposed to go meet Khai at BB so took the Star LRT to Hang tuah then take the monorail there. Im not sure how…but i managed to miss the stop to hang tuah. When the train stopped, i juz looked out the doors but didnt get up to go out. Was dreaming i think at that time. Had to stop at the next stop and go back…haha!

Went back via the Dang wangi which is nearby to the Bukit Nanas monorail (yep, the one rite outside Hard Rock) then came back, took a shower & dumped my laundry into the washing machine. Havent been doin laundry for almost 2 weeks…am running out of underwear. LOL!

Then went to Ikano on Saturday evening (the right day this time) and lepak at Starbucks for a bit talking with the waiters (but din order anything…haha) before goin to the Gathering

Bling Bling

As many other girls and some guys I love my jewelry. My mom gave me a white gold necklace & a red cubic zicornia (sp?) in silver pendant…I never take it off (coz mesti hilang kalo buka)

The newest addition to my bracelet collection is this bracelet from Bali or Indonesia given to me by Mel :D One thing that I dont like is my jewelry all over the place. So I made a bracelet Tree (?) from a mug holder. And a earring hanger from a photo frame (rm7.90 from IKEA) and some mosquito netting. Looking at this pictures, i realize that i really have a lot of time on my hands :P

Feel free to give me more earrings…i lurve earrings..i like…i like :D

Apples and Grapes

Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren’t as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they’re amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

Now Men….
Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes and it’s up to women to stomp the shit out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with. Share this with all the good apples you know.
