Of dreams and theories

I thought that my paper was on monday and kinda kelam kabut studied for Database on sunday night. After I realized that it was on Tuesday, I went to bed really early at 5pm and planned to get up to study summore.

While I was sleeping, i dreamt that I was in uni and had to give this presentation on Tuesday before my exams. So I had to kelam-kabut-ly prepare for the presentation (which god knows what i was about) and finally ended at 10pm!! So I missed my exam, and the lecturer wont let me resit AND i was stuck it uni at 10pm. It was scary coz I had to stay awake till the next morning.

I woke up with a shock thinking that I might have overslept. Looked at my hp and it was 3.30 am, Tuesday morning and i heaved a sigh of relief. Got up and studied till exam this morning. I think i did OK :D

This morning (at 3.30am) after I got up, I went to the toilet to take a shower. Then I saw not one, but TWO vases of the money plant – u know, that small green plant that people usually put in the toilet or in houses.

The next day I asked my mom about it an she said she put the plants there because she wants the toilet to smell nicer.

me : how the hell is it supposed to work?
mom : well, its like this, the plants absorb the smells
me : but they absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) lah
mom : Yalah, the CO2 and all the smells then it produce fresh oxigen
me : but the smells are not contained in the CO2, how would u kno it works?
mom : I dunno la..but that’s my theory
me : …..

Saturday fun

Oh before saturday, Pammy and I was at starbucks Ikano for 2 nights in a row, wed and thursday because she had to do her work. We went there around 10.30-ish then hang around there until it closed. Borak2 with Khad who’s working there after he finished work.

And of course, took some pics :D

Last saturday I went for a girls day out with Aree and Erin at Sunway Piramid. Its been ages since we all went out together-gether. Aree told me it was at 3pm but due to transport problems, only reached there at 3.30pm or so. Aree told erin that it was 2pm so she came much earlier. Poor girl had to wait for solong. Aree herself came at 4-something-pm coz she was stuck at her apartment in cyberia due to the malfunction of the electronic gate. It was the first time i saw aree with her new big hair and I think it suits her really well.

Had a late and heavy lunch at Dave’s Deli. Aree had potato salad and spaghetti alfredo, erin had a potato salad coz she ate already. And i had a quarter chicken set with a side order of mac and cheese and ice lemon tea (RM18). The potato salad is yummylicious with not too much mayonaise and best of all, it had crunchy bacon strips. Downside: too small portion. The alfredo sauce for the spaghetti is slightly more watery that I’d like but it tasted good with none of that overwhelming cheese taste.

My chicken tasted..just like chicken :P but there was too much sauce and the sauce was slightly salty. The coleslaw was ok (but i dont really eat coleslaw so I gave it to erin and aree) and the mashed potatoes was too little and was practically drowning in the sauce (which they gave too much of). The mac and cheese (pic on bottom right) was boiled macaroni mixed with the alfredo sauce and sprinkled with some grated cheese.

Verdict: For chicken, better eat at Kenny Sia Rogers. For spaghetti alfredo, Hartamas Square is still the best. Potato salad is tops.

After that we went to jalan jalan around sunway, went to FOS to try out some tops and the 2 gals bought some really gorgeous tops. Nothing really caught my fancy so I didnt get anything. Juz walked around browsing. Oh, i bumped into Cassandra who was with a friend and teased her about how she was supposed to be “busy” studying for her last paper on the 1st of June look who’s talking. lol!.

From sunway we decided to drop by the The Curve’s flea market. We were kinda late,it was after 9pm when we reached. Some of the shops were closed or closing by that time but we still had enough time to browse around (i think someone bought some jewellery) and i noticed Cineleisure was opened. but looks kinda empty inside tho there was some people walking in and out.

After that we went to hartamas coz I was supposed to meet up with some chatters. It was rainign cats and dogs, and we had to walk thru the rain and was drenched coz there was no parking near hartamas square.

I had this assumption we were meeting up with 4-5 people, namely joe, farah, rei, faiz & evelyn. Little did i know there was a huge bunch of people (joe invited everyone he knew) and we ended up being almost 20 people – 10 of which i didnt even talk to. Farah came with 5 other ppl, including Ally, Is and fren, i brought erin & aree, dakwan & mato turned up, evie brought her cute bf & her sis, and the rest were joe’s friends. we (the people I knew) had a lot of fun talking and laughing until tekak kering

We were noisy, teasing most of the time, snapping pics (smua cam whore), making jokes about people, checking out the hot guys and girls, screaming at each other over the noise of the rain, buat-buat tak dengar when someone talks to us, comparing boobs sizes, comparing which chatter was the ugliest and laughing mcm org gila tak ingat dunia. if you were at hartamas, and there was this big group of orang gilas, yep, its Us. :P

Joe’s fren, Jeng, sent me back home (thank you jeng) when we all decided to go back at 3am. I was kinda dissapointed it was so early – coz when i go out i tak pandai balik before subuh, but everyone wanted to go back so takpe lah.

Some of my classmates, as you can very well see, smua pon laki :P
After reading su ann’s post about bananas, I was craving for roti pisang. The one at the mamak stall near my house not so nice la coz they like to potong2 their roti. Weird lah.

KL Central after dark, had to wait for my fren’s flight which was delayed from 4pm to 9pm to midnite. Finally met up at 3am at Central. Penat i tunggu siottt…

Im my previous post, I wasnt implying that being manja or romantic is weak. Its just some traits that I never thought that I would have.

But now that I think of it, lately I’ve been using my charms to get what I want. Buat sore manja skit to ask for favours, bat eyelashes skit, put on puppy dog eyes and innocent face skit and walahhhh…i get what a want.

Be it to get a classmate to send my assignments, to get my guy frens to belanja me, minta someone to buy me this or that, asking my dad for money but that I’ve been doin for ages, minta-ing my mom for favours….all is easily won over :P

hehehe…evil conniving biatch !! :P

Tgh borak2 ngan a close guy friend about the song “Dealova” and how much i loved the lyrics, the melody and the singer’s voice and suddenly he said,

Lasagne & Earrings

I went all the way to class today then found out I didnt have classes so had to go back and cook lunch for the girls at home. Decided to make lasagne, stopped by at Tesco to grab some ingredients and went back.

Had a willing slave helper ["Will work for lasagne" ~Garfield] to help me wash dishes & cut onions as i prepared the lasagne. Fried diced bombay onions, added the minced beef sampai masak, then added tomato paste (puree) before adding oregano & basil. Melted some butter in a pot, add flour, add milk & add cheese to make cheese sauce. Layered lasagne sheets, meat & cheese sauce in 2 pyrex pans and bake for 30-40 mins at 180 degrees celcius.

And there 2 have 2 yummylicious lasagne. Nick took some back for Erin and the girls and I had lunch. Still a lot left tho.. :P

Of lenses, DVC & my late uncle

I finally went to look for a new brand on contact lenses because I wasnt too happy with the one I have now, it tends to get dry too fast and thus i tend to scratch my eyes – esp when i go out mamaking till wee hrs of the morning.

Most importantly, i had to buy new a new brand of solution since the one im using – Bausch & Lomb Renu – is strongly suspected to cause some fungal infection in the eyes. [Read the news report here]

Finally settled on this brand that is more expensive (RM10 extra) but better with more water content and doesnt get so dry as easily or as fast as the other brand. I changed my solution to Solocare, seems to be good nowadays.

Went to watch The Da Vinci Code at Times Square on Fri nite. Tot of watching 9pm so I was there at 8pm to book tickets. However it was full, even the premier class. The next show was at midnight and the only empty seats were the ones in the premier class and the first 2 rows.

Premier tickets are about rm17, but the seats are bigger and more ‘empuk’. Plus its smaller and more exclusive so lessening the risks of stupid audiences who bising, talk and dont get the intellegent jokes.

Since it was still early, we went for icecream at Baskin Robbins. Oh yeah! I ordered icecream and had a hard time deciding. Then after the lady scooped it out for me, i took it and we talked off. We decided to eat Hainam Chicken Rice at BB so we walked through the monorail. We were at BB when i asked “err…did I pay for the icecream?” and my fren said “yeah i was just thinking the same thing.” Haha! I got my icecream for free :P

I was a bit worried that I would like the movie, coz Pink pau absolutely hated it. I think it was quite good if you:

Never never compare it with the movie, since when does a movie based on a book is the same. Dont go try comparing it at all. Think of it as in independant movie. As if u’ve never seen it. My fren who has never even heard of the book said it was good (even thought some said they’re a bit confused).

Oh come on, its juz a movie :P (Though I dont think its worth watching again)

Note: when we went back to Times at 11.50pm, Baskin & Robbins was still open, so I paid for my icecream eventually. Apparently the gal also must have forgot because she also did not inform us :P

My parents are in Kuching for the funeral until Tuesday evening because my uncle passed away saturday night :( He was my dad’s eldest brother (my dad is the youngest of 8 siblings) He has been sickly for some time. I liked him a lot. He was one of my favourite uncles. May he rest in peace.dc

Of happiness, alchemists and parties

Am feeling uber happy today coz:

1. I managed to finish my 2000 word report on CASE (Computer-Assisted Software Engineering) tools in 3 hours (after hours of being distracted before that). Completed it around 9-something-am this morning and printed it out.
2. Had my major presentation for my English Communication Skills about my report on “The lack of an online student portal in LUCT”. Did it with eL. The lecturer said it was good. Good job el :D
3. Goin out tonite and sleeping over with friends. Clubbing? Maybe yes, maybe no :P {I can hear G in the background screaming “Ghetto Heaven at Zouk!!!!”
4. Got no more assignments to pass up except for the Math, but i’ll worry about that next week

p/s: Put, thats why I wanted the week to be over. Get a life la babe~! :P (inside joke)

I was reading Rudy’s post about reading for free at bookstores and juz couldnt help laughing. Because I did the exact same thing.

I was at Borders Time Square monday evening supposedly waiting for a fren who didnt turn up bangang so I juz loitered around looking at the books and mentally drawing up a list of what I would love to have sitting on my bookshelf. Then i spotted The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It has been recommended to me by several people.

Its really good ~!! Not too heavy reading, light enough for a casual before bedtime read (that is, if u can put the book down to sleep :P) and it not that thick, the soft cover is less than 2cm thick, if im not mistaken. So get your copy now~! or be like stingy me and read it at Borders

p/s: i think Borders is goin to be my new hangout place :P

Suddenly this week I have got a few invites to a few important parties this week and end of this month. Time nak exam la byk temptations nak gi party. Clubbing!! Clubbing!! G is so sad she cant go :( next year lah dahhllinggg :P
