What I’ve been up to in the past week

Posted by on July 30, 2006  |  3 Comments

  1. I said I had no money, but the other day I was at Ikano with mom and I bought pink kitten (i.e. short) heels from Vincci. So cheap…bout rm15 only. Also went to FOS and bought an orange top bout rm20.
  2. Repaired my sleeping clock. I used to go online chatting till 7-8am, then go to bed, waking at 7-8pm. Yeah I know, absolutely terrible. But now i go to bed around midnight (or slightly earlier) and get up around 8.30-9am. Which i think is such a big improvement :P The dark circles under my eyes haven’t dissapeared tho :(
  3. Did some spring cleaning of my room, especially koreking under the katil and finding all kinds of odds and ends, bits of my own hair, dusty books, a sock, coins, etc. Wiped my computer table floor.
  4. Replaced my hd with one that my fren oh-so-kindly gave to me (thanks! muahhh…you kno who u are) and fixed up my PC – reformatting, downloading and reinstalling all porn/hentai programs and games applications.
  5. Oh, I found out why I haven’t been getting comments in my blog because i misstyped the settings – had a good laugh at Farah commenting a couple of times coz she tot it didnt show up. Anyway it’s all fixed now. Please comment a lot a lot
  6. I finally managed to gantung my shells beaded curtain which I bought from Sabah early this year. It was so cheap there. Had a bit of dad’s help to drill holes for the curtain rail from where else? IKEA.
  7. Currently stuck playing this game RuneScape. Its similar to games like neverwinter nights and icewind dale. But online, so you dont have to download anything, juz play it on the browser.
  8. Tried out the Spicy Beef Foldover at McDs – I know…so lambat baru nak try – and it was ok. Sauce was a bit too spicy and too much but the beef and cheese was yummylicious.
  9. Yea i guess that’s about it :D

Oh, im going to be in genting this weekend. Staying over one night to go to “A night with Jim Brickman” concert. Sooo cheap. only RM133 for rooms and Tier 2 tickets (valued at RM80 each). Im goin with aaron. whoopiee doo :P

Canggih words & uni-frens

Rant : i wrote this uber long post….then my dad’s office laptop hang-ed on me. *annoyed!!*

*curi-ed from the offical website*

I woke up so uberly early by my personal standards that is on Thursday – 8.30am – and went down to the black box building in Cyberjaya. When we arrived, we saw a sign “Welcome Returning Students!! MDI Plaza *with arrow pointing left* and there I was wondering what the heck was MDI Plaza?? Registrations were usually at Hall of Fame i.e. Dewan Besar all these previous semesters.

After lining up at the LELC i.e. Business and IT faculty of LUCT to register and I chit chat with my Java lecturer – she praised me for my A in Java :D *hihihi bangga* – i had to go up to the Bursary i.e. Cashier to pay. Its 2 floors above the registration area in the something-innovative-design-something-gallery i.e a white hall with pictures of product packaging.

Oh I bumped into a few classmates as well. When I did an absolutly stupid thing. I mention something to my fren about his dad – absolutely forgetting that his dad passed away last semester. And I absolutely didnt realize till I was on the way back home. Felt really bad about that (but it was an honest mistake).

Kinda looking forward to the new semester – it means another step to graduation and also something to do. Its kinda nice having holidays, but too long makes my brain rusty. Im looking forward to this new sem with (hopefully) more friends.

I wonder if my frens last semester would act like they did last sem – suddenly ignoring me without me knowing why, and not even having the guts to talk to me to my face about it, even tho I thought that we were all adults and mature enough (they are older than me) to have a sit down and discuss it – but I doubt, coz some people never change their mentality (and also because I read a blogpost which mentioned about one of them not wanting to see certain people in uni which I dunno is referring to me or not, but maybe).

Oh well, all I can do is just act like it’s normal. Im not angry, just kinda dissapointed because I honestly sincerely dont know what I did wrong :( Oh well, small matter. Friendships are fickle anyway, everyone puts on a face and everyone has their own personal agenda. New friends can be made (even tho its kinda hard to do) and my real frens (most of them not in LUCT) are far more important to me anyway.

P/s : Pam, LUCT students may be bad, but not as bad as at ur collage. LOL!

Of Brian’s Visit & Night Crossings

Posted by on July 26, 2006  |  3 Comments

I’ve been hit by the malas-to-update-my-blog syndrome the past few weeks. Its not that I dont have a life *jeling kat put* but I’ve been busy – but not as busy as org yg salah tgk date convo or mak hayam yg nak cuti awal.

Brian, a close fren of mine from KK (who’s currently studying in Singapore) came to KL for a weekend trip. He stayed with Aaron in KJ. These two monkeys said that they would be in BB-Lowyat area after 10am on saturday and so I was at KJ at 11am and decided to call them to say that I’d be there earlier than i expected – supposed to meet at 12.30pm at first.

Those two monkeys were still sleeping!! Or to be more accurate, i woke them up. So i asked them to get their butts down to KJ as soon as possible and they came in less than an hour later – groggy and tired. Coz they watched Pirates at 12.30 and only got back around 3 something am.

We were busy camwhoring in the monorail station and in the train. We went to Low yat and walked around window shopping while Brian was looking for a laptop bag. He finally bought a nice Belkin padded cushy one for RM95 (compared to me who will juz sumbat my laptop into any bag im currently using – if its too small, juz pegang mcm pegang files or books).

At around 2.30pm, Aaron left us to go for his interview and it started raining so we decided to go to Time Square because Brian hasn’t been there for some time. We had to walk in the rain to time square when Brian asked where Lot 10 was coz he wanted to go the the Bentley (sp?) store opposite. I was like “What?!?!? we walked thru the rain here and u want to go back??” So we did go back and he kept insisting there was an underground passage from Regent Hotel to the opposite road (Planet Hollywood side) – anyone know about this passage?? – but we crossed the road anyway coz we couldnt find this so-called passage of his.

After that I went to stay at my frens place. Lepak2 borak2 and slept a lot coz i didnt sleep the night before. The next day I met up with Brian and Aaron (again!) in Ikano and we jalan2 to Padini – waaaa…so many new heels at Vincci~! – and Aaron bought 2 new tshirts then we lepak2 at Starbucks Ikano and took lotsa pics again :P Then the 2 monkeys came to my house for dinner and we juz talk talk, drink drink then they went home.

Im proud to annouce the opening of a new group blog between my frens and I:

Night Crossings – where the unexplainable and mysterious happen

Where a group of bloggers share stories of the night
True life experiences and encounters
Old wives tales and taboos
Stories of the unseen and unknown.

Oh and I’ve been busy fixing up a few blogger’s templates, namely BlackFeline (juz some minor adjusting) and UglyButAdorable (template revamp). Was interesting to do.

Oh and its the last week of my holidays. So have been lepaking a lot, and also trying to fix my messy sleeping times. So far so good, slept early last night and woke up around 9 something this morning. :P

Cheesy Bites

Posted by on July 20, 2006  |  2 Comments

I read that Su ann was wondering some time ago if the new pizza by Pizza Hut is nice or not. Well Im not really a big fan of Pizza Hut since i met my-first-pizza-love Dominos <3 but when we were at Genting, we decided to try out their new pizza.

The ad says “Pick it! Pull it! Pop it! Pull the fun out of your pizza. Put the fun back in your meals with 24-cheese bites made ready to pull. Pop in every bite filled with Parmesan, Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese topped with garlic sprinkles. The New Chessy Bites Pizza. A fun filled treat with any topping you pick.

We ordered Super Supreme – personally I dont quite like it coz i think it has an overdose of toppings, but im juz choosy – and the pizza looked like it was baked unevenly because one side was dark brown and the other side wasnt. Oh and you can hardly see the garlic sprinkle much less taste it.

Ok about the taste. I think its quite good actually. The cheese isn’t as dry as the Cheesy Crust one. I think the combo of three cheeses is great. Plus it looks like they did stuff em lil buggers with quite a lot of cheese – as you can see it oozing out in the pic. Cheese lovers (like Beb) would absolutely love it.

Generous toppings, loads of cheese, something unique and uber filling. We had the large and even I could hardly finish my 2nd piece. It was that filling.

Rating : 7/10
Oh and not to mention there’s this photo competition thingy where you have to take a picture of you enjoying urself or posing with the Cheesy Bites pizza and so of course we snapped a few pics for that. :D

I wana go for this but someone cant confirm back to me yet. There’s a room promotion which is really worth it but im still deciding on whether to go or not.

  7. It’s not really an appropriate topic for dinner conversation.

  21. Sometimes it’s fun to use expensive toys.

I really liked the above list (which I cant remember where i got it from – somewhere on www.digg.com perhaps) but its true, esp for us programming “geeks”.

[Time] 11.15am
[Date] 15 July 2006
[Venue] Golden Screen Cinemas, One Utama

After Miz Farah “Gedik” Bella tried all night to book tickets for us to watch POTC : DMC (which will from now on be called Pirates2) she managed to secure tickets at the ungodly hour of 11.15am on a Saturday morning.

Met up with Efir, Ally, Kanai and Farah at OU. I turned up at the perfect time, juz in time to walk up to the cinema – but we got stuck at the long line at the popcorn stand. Sorry guys, my bad.

The movie was great! A bit long at 2.5 hours but great! The effects was good, especially the disgusting looking barnacles on Davy Jones’ crew, esp during the day when u can actually see it opening and closing…MAJOR ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!! And of course that teethy Kraken and all its slimy disgusting stuff
So go and see this movie! In the cinema of course. Belilah yg ori! :P

And of course, what would an outing with the minah-minah gedik be without a spot of cam-whoring? (as usual click for a bigger size)

My Genting Trip

Posted by on July 14, 2006  |  6 Comments

The Genting trip was uber-fun!! We had such a great time riding this and that, taking photos here and there. But im getting waaay ahead of myself.

We all met up at KL Central at around 8am. Oh i actually met Aaron and Hiro (Rachel’s housemate – a Japanese student studying in Miri) and we proceeded to buy tickets to Genting. Looking at the timetable, we decided on going at 9am. So I told the ticket seller:

Me : Bang, empat tiket ke genting kul 9am
Ticket Seller (TS) : nak balik kul brapa?
Me : Err….*turns back to the others* what time u wana go back? *after some deliberations* ohh kul 3.30 (pm).
TS : Takde kul 3.30. Ada kul 3 ngan 4 je.
Aaron : *sampuk from the back* Kul 3.30 ada tak?
The rest of us : Lerrrr……

The bus going there was at 8.30am because the cable car was not working so the bus goes all the way to the top. On the way, Rach and I were gossiping talking and gossiping laughing about the people we knew back in Curtin and KK. She was telling me stories and likewise. Ohh I miss the people back in KK and Curtin. So many memories.
We finally reached Genting after a whole lot of tosses and turns. And was hungry so we went to scout around for food. All of us wanted to have Burger King but at that time they were only selling the breakfast set so we went to McDs for their McEgg/Sausage Muffin. Oh and I had a cone sundae – so mahal oo..rm2 for the kecik one. But it is Genting, so understandable.

Then we walked around all the hotels in Genting and also peeked into the casino. I got stopped by the pak guard coz Im underaged :( Im turning 21 in September so they didnt let me in. Hiro was also stopped because he was using sandals. So both of us juz waited outside lepaking and attempted to make small talk :P We also stopped by the WorldCard Office in Genting to upgrade Rach and Aaron’s one while Hiro and I applied for new cards – its free maaa. If i known earlier, i could have collected so much points from starbucks and coffeebean.

Only after that did we enter the outdoor theme park and got ourselves the wristband and played all the rides. One of the smaller roller coasters was closed for maintainance so we didnt get to ride on that. And we also didnt ride on the Super Tobaggan coz it has a weight limit of 70kg and below – only rach was within the limit and she didnt want to go alone.

There was a new – well, not so new – ride called flying coaster where you are lying on your stomach as it goes around the track. But for some weird reason they painted it Spiderman-red-and-blue-with-black-web-markings. I thought they should have painted it more towards the theme of Superman. Anyway we all bought a photo souvenier of the ride :D

After a whole afternoon of walking and playing all the rides and cam-whoring at all the weirdest places. We had lunch at Pizza Hut – the cheesy bites pizza. Then took the bus back to KL Central.

P/s: I got a fever the moment i got back..probably the change in the weather and the fact that I didnt sleep the night before.

Italian Hotties

Posted by on July 12, 2006  |  2 Comments

italy11 italy9

With faces like these, how can us girls NOT support the Italians? I was at Mt kiara the other day with Nick & Erin (france supporters) and pam who supports italy. During the line up, when they showed the France team, so many people cheered. especially when the camera zoomed to Zidane the head-butting bull.

And when France scored, the people sitting all around us (pam and I) screamed and yelled – semangat giler la…alar…penalty je – and for a while there we felt kinda left out. But then when Italy scored we screamed goal!!!! and i could hear like juz our voices and luckily the chinese boys in the table in front also was on our side, so it wasnt so bad after all.

We left right after the 2nd half because Pam and Erin had work the next day. I went back home to watch the end of the extra time. Gladys was at home watching the game (she support france). I didnt kno she wanted to watch if not I would have brought her to Mt Kiara with me. Didnt miss much and I wasnt expecting anything interesting to happen anyway.

All in all, the game was really interesting. Its back to boring nights….
