The satisfaction in money

Posted by on August 18, 2006  |  2 Comments

I got my pay the other day (I was working part time during my holidays) after almost two months of waiting. Took out some money to pay debts – 100 to G coz i needed money for books, 25 to Put for the BBQ last week & 40 to erin for the play Broken Bridges *iklan*watch it at KLPAC!*iklan*

My fren was so kind as to pick me up from uni for some time now so I isi petrol (bout RM20) and we went to OU for a fantastic meal at Sushi King. Have been eyeing that Tempura set and jellyfish sushi for ages. The bill was of course pretty steep but at least I puas hati :D After that went window shopping – still am looking for a white tote bag but still havent found any that is satisfactory enough.

Happy belated birthday to Delinn (& sister) dan Alangz boleh lak I lupa nak wishkan aritu? adess

Limah @ Bilal @ Zee graciously invited all of us bebudak tag joe to her kenduri kawin last Saturday. It was my first time :D (goin to a kenduri kawin that is :P) I wasn’t really sure what to wear. Delinn said “jgn pakai baju2 ketat u” :P So i juz decided to wear a light yellow baju kurung – yea same one like last raya in Tampin. But wasnt really sure where to wear the pleats – tanya org pon smua tatau. So juz wore it on the right side :P

The day started off rather kelam-kabutly because as I was waiting for my parents to get back home to send me to the lrt station, they were extreamly late and apparently the car had problems so they had to send it to the workshop. So I had to call I cab to come and my sisters followed because they wanted to go to OU. I was supposed to meet the rest at Setiawangsa at 1pm but of course I couldnt make it (but takpe la..dier org dah biasa kalo I dtg lambat :P LOL!)

Anyway, so many budak2 tag dtg. When I arrived Put, Royce, Delinn, Angah, Alangz, Par (apa ek par punya blog add?) and Lis smua dah seronok dok makan2.

Bilal was sooo pretty that day :D bak kata AngahBilal I tell you, macam pompuan Melayu terakhir. Anggun. Bersimpuh. Seumur hidup, sekali je kot boleh nampak Bilal macam tu!” Green was the theme of the day, so the family members smua pakai ijau, umah pon painted ijau, curtains ijau, Angah dengan baju baru ijau, lis & put oso pakai baju kurung ijau. The food was yummy (cant really elaborate, dun kno the names, juz know how to eat it).

Gang taggers (minus angah) – Pic from Delinn

Soon after that Kong, Arc, Anne & Sempoii sampai. Kong as usual was hiding2 from the flashes of the camera. Arc datang bersolo (rugi ko tak dtg Budak), Anne nampak cantik dan ayu :D dan last sekali Sempoii tiba sbb dier lupa ttg kenduri Bilal. Mmg best jumpa2 ngan org yg dulu nampak kat tagboard je (tapi mmg dah jumpa most of them pon :P)

First week break

Posted by on August 10, 2006  |  2 Comments

Im currently busy with some website projects and startout my semester. Hope to update soon. Upcoming POsts :

  • An evening with jim brickman
  • Review : Dragon Tiger Gate
  • Starting out my semester
  • Boy meets girl, but yet…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [TIMESTAMP] 10.49am
Its almost the ending of my first week in uni and its my 2nd day here (coz i skipped my class on wed). Classes are so far rather boring considering that they are all jus introductions on the chapters that are goin to be studied and what textbooks to buy.
Classmates are the same but some still with that ignoring attitude (whatever lah, couldn’t be bothered since they dont want to tell me whats wrong). Classes are so bloody early – 9am but that means I have to get out of the house by 7am to accomodate my sister’s and parents timing and still be in time for my 8.10am bus. Sucks, but at least I only do it 2 times a week :D other days my bus is at noon, classes are at 2-6pm.
I think I’ll survive this semester :D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I still haven’t got my money from my part time job in late June- early July. Am currently extreamly broke (i have aprox rm15 left in my wallet till the end of the month) coz I paid for my Genting trip frm my monthly allowance thinking that I would get my money soon enuf. *sigh*

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AM currently in the lab…my 9am class finished early. Am extreamly hungry and some idiot juz came in with a terrible Body Odor of smelly ketiak!! ew ew ew!! Am feeling really sleepy (couldnt sleep last nite so managed to sleep for 2 hrs only). I hope that my 2pm class will finish at 3pm so that I can take the bus back or else i gotta wait till 6pm. *crosses fingers*
Cemetary Trip
[Time] sometime after 3-4 am
[Date] a Saturday early 2004
[Venue] Miri, Sarawak
Now that I recall, it was a really dark night, no moon and not a star in the sky. My friends and I were about to go back after a night of fun, clubbing, dancing and drinking. The club was the heart of town about 30 mins from our campus.
There was 5 of us in the car. K (the extremely cute driver) from brunei, C (an exchange student from Aussie) in the front passenger seat, B (also from brunei) sitting in the middle of the back seat with L (my best fren) on his right and myself on his left.
A note on B, he’s what some people call gifted, special or can sense. He said its passed down from his ancestors. He can sense and sometimes even see and here things. And ‘things’ have a tendency to disturb him, switching his house lights on and off, staying in his toilet – but they never cause him hurt, just a little inconvenience
There was two ways to go back to our campus from town. One is through the main road which goes through 2 roundabout and another is the back way which passes though some shoplots. We were deciding which road to take when someone – i forgot who – said “lets go through the other way.” L & I looked at each other – we (even tho we are Sarawakians) have never dared go through this road after dark.
This other way passes through 2 cemeteries – which are on both sides of the road. First a Malay one, with a rusty looking iron fence surrounding it with a few trees of bunga kemboja – those white flowers with a yellow center – and lots of batu nesan scattered, some wrapped with white cloth. Next a Chinese one, with elaborate tombstones, big and small. Imagine a dark still night, with hardly any light, except for dim roadlights and the car’s headlights.
We were just having small talk while going through that road. C was drunk in the front, K was quietly driving when suddenly B said “K, drive faster“, “alar, why are you so scared?” K replied. B snapped back in a calm yet insistent way “Cepat skit K, ada benda ikut. Cepat.” Even before he said that I had already had this eerie feeling and I think L did to. K stepped on the gas and I grabbed B’s arm and closed my eyes, silently praying in my heart.
We didn’t dare speak until we were way out of town and K asked “ada lagi?“, and B bit his lip and nodded his head “uhuh” in a rather worried and scared way. We got to B’s house (he rented a house offcampus) and I could still see the scared look on his face. “Wash ur hands and your feet the moment u get inside” he said, in a monotone. He went in and switched on a CD of some quran reading (i think). And only then he relaxed. And we never talked about it again.
Thats my closest experience about things in the “other side”.
Phew, my first story. Its a true story, also publish in the Night Crossings blog (http://nightcrossings.blogspot.com)
I’d better mention it before anyone screams “repost!!”.
Enjoy!
