Wakame jejaka yg digilai ramai kat tag Joe telah membuat kelas membuat sushi kat umah Arc & Budak. Supposed to start at 3pm but Wak sendiri dtg at 4.30 and I came around 5pm coz i had to send and pick my sister. And when i was on the way i had to pusing balik coz I carelessly left my wallet at home.
There wasnt much food (or mayb dah byk habis) – got roti jala and curry, kuih bahulu, cempedak goreng (which i ate alot :P coz its my fave), pudding, karipap, keropok & of course ingredients for sushi. Was quite interesting learning all the different names (which i didnt jot down) and the ways to make yummy sushi :)

My CNY holidays are over :( oh so sad.
I went back to Tg Malim with my family on the 17th night for supper at my grandma’s place (mom’s side). Had some vegetarian dish. Got no idea what it’s called but got meehoon, abalone, mushrooms, fungus
Got back home around 3am on 18th morning and prepared the food from my small makan-makan – Made the spaghetti Sauce & the white sauce. Slept for a while then prepared all the other food. Mashed potatoes, Spaghetti & macaroni, Garlic Bread & my mom made carrot cake. Cleaned the hse a bit more, arrange all the makanan. And waited for the guests. Taufie, Core & Bact came first. Dok lepak2. then Jer came, and one by one all my frens came.
I didnt really invite a lot of people (due to budget constraints) but I invited as much as I could, some frens from KK who are in KL, some frens from chat and some blogger frens. Everyone had fun (at least i think so lah)
Got a few friends who stayed back talking, boraking and lepaking till around midnite. Then i went to send a fren back to KL. Coz he took the lrt to come to my place. As i was goin on the Penchala link, i drove over something (that actually looked like a simple black plastic on the ground) which sliced my right front tyre. Stopped at the side of the road just before the tunnel and bullied got my fren to change the tyre.and so that ends my chinese new year this year :) not so meriah as it would be in KK but its ok lah.

happy chinese new year to all my readers.
here’s something interesting to read
28 ways to know you are Chinese
1.You unwrap gifts very carefully,so you can save and reuse the wrapping. (and especially those bows).
2.When there is a sale on toilet paper,you buy 100 rolls and store them in your closet or in the bedroom of an adult child who has moved out.
3.You keep a Thermos of hot water available at all times.
4.You save grocery bags,tin foil and tin containers.You use the grocery bags to hold garbage.
5.You hate to waste food:
(a) Even if you’re totally full, if someone says they’re going to throw away the leftovers on the table, you’ll finish them.(your mom will give a lecture about starving kids in Africa).
(b) You have Tupperwares in your fridge with three bites of rice or one leftover chicken wing.6. you don’t own any real Tupperware – only a cupboard full of used but carefully rinsed margarine tubs, take out containers and jam jars.
7. You have a collection of miniature shampoo bottles that you take every time you stay in a hotel.
8.You wipe your plate and utensils or wash them in a small basin of hot water before you eat every time you go to a restaurant.
9.You own a rice cooker and slow cooker.
10. You wash your rice at least 2-3 times before cooking it.
11. You fight(literally) over who pays the dinner bill.
12. You have a teacup with a cover on it.
13. If you’re under age 20, you own a really expensive mp3 player/handphone, if you’re over 20,you own a really expensive camera/laptop/DSLR.
14. You’re a wok user.
15. You only make long distance call after 7pm.
16. You prefer your shrimp with the heads and legs still attached – it means they’re fresh.
17. You never call your parents just to say hi.
18. If you don’t live at home and when your parents call, they’ll ask if you’ve eaten, even if it’s midnight.
19. Your parents tell you to boil herbs and stay indoor when you get sick. They also tell you not to eat fried foods or baked goods because they’re heaty (yeet hay in Cantonese)
20. You email your Chinese friends at work, even though you only sit less than 10 feet apart.
21. You always cook too much.
22. You eat every last grain of rice in your bowl, but don’t eat the last piece of food on the table.
23. You starved yourself before going to all you can eat buffet.
24. You know someone who can get you a good deal on jewelery or electronics or computers.
25. You own your own meat cleaver and sharpen it.
26. Your toothpaste tubes are all squeezed paper-thin.
27. You know why this list consists of only “28″ reasons.
28. You can take this message and forward it to all your Chinese friends.
So, if you are a Chinese, keep it up guys, coz not everybody can be a Chinese!!
I cleaned up the house today, kinda tiring. Will be goin to tanjung malim tomorrow to celebrate CNY with my mom’s relatives- you know, the tradition of eating together the night before CNY (and suffering through the “wah-you-so-big-oredi” comments). Then on the first day im having a small makan2 (i wouldnt really call it an open house coz im not inviting lots of people) with about 30 people or so :P
enjoy the long weekend people!

Anyway janji nak jumpa pukul 3.30pm, but of koz sbb Malaysian time, smua datang lambat (kali nie coco datang awal dari delinn..yahoo!). I was there around 3.45pm gitu, alangz & zure & bilal dah sampai (ntah2 alangz ngan zure dah datang dari kul 12 pastu deting2 pusing2 tasik kot?). Then slowly mowly yg lain1 pon sampai gak.

:: Piknik at Sg Gabai ::
I’ve been goin on a few picnics recently (and not so recently). On the first of Feb, I had a picnic at Sg Gabai Waterfall (somewhere on the Semenyih-Kajang Road – dont ask me where exactly, i only tumpang org :P) We met up at Ampang Park and then berkonvoi there. We were there sometime in the afternoon and went up the steepest, highest flight of stairs I have seen a long long while.
We brought a bunch of snacks. Well actually the other girls brought a bunch of snacks – keropok and kacang and more keropok. I just brought a big bottle of air kosong. LOL! We walked climbed all the way up, and huffed and puffed all the way. Not me only k? The kurus2 ones also had difficulty goin up. So nice of krlanz to temankan me at the end of the queue as I took lots of pit stops.
The water was fantasically cold. Brrr…We took pictures at the waterfall of course and shampoo-ed our hair and played with the water for a few hours. Then we continued walking down and sniggering at those who were huffing and puffing their way up, changed then went to makan.
Thx to Faiz@Bact for letting me tumpang his car and also offering to send me all the way home to damansara even tho he stays in Ampang. But i took the lrt back home coz my house is out of the way for him. Thx to krlanz for being so caring..hihihi! All in all it was such great fun! :D
:: Sugar – 2nd Feb ::
I havent been out clubbing cut down a lot compared to end of last year so on the 2nd it was my first time goin out clubbing for this year :) I managed to not club/drink for a month, hehe so proud of myself compared to clubbing at least twice a week in Nov/Dec. Pam, Aree, Jazzy, Aymen, Gladz and myself decided to go to Sugar on friday because we like DJ Fuzz spinning there. I met up with Along (from Kluang) who happened to be in town for the weekend who i havent met for almost half a year. We had lots of fun dancing and meeting new people.
:: Pammy’s 22nd Birthday ::
Pam’s birthday was on the 4th of Feb so we celebrated it at Al-Rawsha, Ampang (i must do a review on it on day) – a bungalow-converted-restaurant which serves superb Arabic food (try their Al-rawsha mixed grill and hummus) and shisha (i love the *special* grape) with a bunch of close friends. Had lots of fun laughing, talking, shisha-ing and eating.
After that we continued at Aloha for dancing and drinks. May the year ahead be a great one for you Pam! :D
:: Twitter ::
Im not sure if u guys noticed that I’ve added a Twitter badge on the right side of my blog. Its a service where I can text in updates of what im doing, anytime, anywhere. Finally got it up and working today :D Enjoy reading! :D
