yey! i moved to a new blog address :) nicer, shorter (compared to midnightdances) and sweeter ;)

So what’s new in this blog?

• New name – yep i bought a new domain name coz the old one was too long and hard to rmbr (and plus it was expiring anyway)
• Blogroll – am currently trying to figure out a way to put links to friends’s site in a proper way so that I can also do link exchanging
• I want to implement “Download Fridays” where people can download stuff every friday – maybe one song, or an album, or a vid clip.
• Find a new blog template – this is only temporary^*done*
• Rearranging Pictures – you notice that some of the pictures are missing, still working on that

Still adjusting the blog template and what not so yea..enjoy!

[Edit:] I didnt use my own name coz my dad nie kalo boring2 likes to google our names, he found my old twitter account and said i was “revealing too much and too open”. Whatever lah =;

Mother’s Day @ Kuala Selangor

Last sunday was Mother’s Day so my dad brought all of us to go makan seafood at Kuala Selangor. It was a 2 hour ride (including stops at a petrol station and at the side of the road when the rain became too heavy). There are 2 different shops at the end of the road where we went, we usually go to the one on the left hand side (I forgot the name), but decided to try the right-hand side one – River View Seafood Restaurant (it has a big crab in front of the shop)

Waited quite a bit for the food to come. We ordered a few different dishes (sorry most of them look like half finished coz we attacked the food the moment it arrived :

A loaf slice of Fried mantau, nice to dip in sauces

Crabs fried with salted eggs. We only ordered a small dish of this, only two small crabs. Very nice, its the wet type but not enough sauce. My younger sis (the picky one who doesnt really like crabs) gave this a thumbs up.

My favourite butter prawns – this is the wet version. Lots of sauce (to dip the mantau in) but a bit too salty and too sweet.

Vege..well, normal lah

Another butter prawn dish, but this is the dried version. I didnt really like how they did it here tho, because it was too oily, as if they just scoop up the deep fried batter from the bottom of the pot of oil.

Our favourite dish was a steamed fish. Looks very simple but has a sourish, slightly spicy sauce and it penetrated the flesh. Yummy. Unfortunatly i forgot to take a picture of it before it finished

And that was our seafood dinner at Kuala Selangor. Next time, we’ll stick to the other restaurant which we always go.

Linkin Park – Minutes to Midnight

I actually started to listen to Linkin Park when my younger sis was a big fan, during the days of Meteora and the like. Then come last year when Nick introduced me to Fort Minor (by playing the songs every single day from Kota Damansara to Cyberjaya) and I liked the songs.

So this is the leak of the newest Linkin Park album, Minutes to midnight.

Im currently running on lack of sleep and loads of coffee (Starbucks!) and sweets (McFlurry Oreo!). Can’t remember when I last had a good night’s sleep during night time. Currently taking 1-2 hr naps whenever i feel extreamly sleepy.

This was my past 2 days :

Wed: Got up back home after i was too tired and fell asleep at a friends place – opps sorry i made ur place my hotel at 3am and couldnt sleep so did some revision until 6am. Tido kejap then afternoon woke up again and study sikit2. Slept at 2am that nite (or rather thurs morning).

Thurs : Woke up at 7am and study while doing my 3ds max toystore (due on friday afternoon). Sent my sister and mom to LRT station at 9am. Left hse at 12 noon – after looking for a change of clothes for my sister and her mp3 player and my laptop – went to tapau nasi ayam, picked my sis from school at 1.10pm (managed to study a bit while waiting), and brought her along to uni coz my exam was at 2pm.

Went back home around 4.30pm, did some more work on my toystore. Picked the rest of the family at KJ at 8.30pm then went for dinner. Came back and panic kejap cause there was a blackout. Continued on the toystore till 2am.

Friday: Took a nap for 2 hrs plus. woke up at 5am. Worked on my toystore. At 11am got stuck, so went to uni and asked my fren for help. After he taught me some things, completed that bloody toystore and now rendering time….(ie : change the computer model to a movie clip showing the 3d models)

[2pm] Time Remaining : 55 minutes {okeh still got time}

[3pm] Time Remaining : 1 hr and 20 minutes {aik? mayb lots of stuff to render}

[4pm] Time Remaining : 2 hrs and 10 minutes {what the f.!!!!}

[5pm] Time Remaining : 2 hrs and 30 minutes

Time now [5.42 pm] TIme Elapsed : 2 hrs 03 minutes
Rendering Time Left : 2 hrs and 7 minutes

I give up…..

(leaving uni now to go and find food..hvnt eaten the whole day)

Andra and The Backbone

Andra is a guitarist in Dewa who went on to form his own band, also under the same management as Dewa, with 2 other people – Dedi (vocalist) and Stevie Item (guitarists) and called themselves Andra and The Backbone (official website here) and launched their self-titled album on 17 January 2007.

The first single “Musnah” is about heartbrokenness that developed into hatred. It also gives an inside fiew of the characted of music portrayed by Andra & The Backbone. The music composition is catchy and unique.

They did a tour in all the major cities in Indonesia some time ago. They’re not really famous here yet, but I bet they will be soon.

My favourite song in “Hanya Dirimu” but I cant find the lyrics for that one, so I uploaded another song that I like titled “Sempurna” and here is the lyrics:

Dissapearing acts

I had this close friend. We would lepak with frens watching EPL till wee hours of the morning and he was the one who would always send me home. On the way back, we’d sometimes stop for another glass of nescafe tarik for him and teh tarik for me and thats when we’d have deep conversations. I’d ask his opinion on various things in my life, and we’d share my thoughts. I felt like he was the older brother I never had, someone I could look up to and I know that i could call at 3am if I ran into trouble (if he wasnt fast asleep that is).

He just suddenly vanished last year without a trace, without a word. I knew he’d done that before, but not to me and a few other friends. I lost a friend which i held very dear. Someone who I would say contributed significantly and positively in my ‘growing up’ process (which I’m still goin thru now of course). I accepted the fact he wanted to perhaps leave his old life and start over, so I closed that chapter of my friendship with him.

Today, pam ran into him. I bet she had a million questions on her lips (as I) but his only reason was that he wanted to change his life. He doesn’t stay up late and has got a rather good job now. For some reason I feel a bit hurt by that. Perhaps we (being younger, having all the time in the world, naive, immature and full of problems) pulled him down to a certain extent. Whatever it is, I respect his decision.

Poks, if u’re reading this (which i doubt coz I didnt tell much ppl about my blog address changing), may you succeed in all your future endevours :)

Presentation

I went to uni this morning because I had a presentation. I thought it was a typical presentation, u know, the type that you stand in front of the lecturer and all the other students and show ur work while talking abit. But apparently, i was wrong. It was an exhibition of students work. So I had to stay there from like 9.30 am until 3.30pm standing and explaining to everyone what my work was about.

I think my work was okay (should upload it here someday) but it was tiring.

Exam on mon :( am sooo not prepared…HELPPPP
