The past week

timetable.jpg

The past week has been rather up and down. Getting used to the new schedule isn’t easy. Was feeling so damn tired all the time, and cranky and feeling a bit down because everyone else seemed to have so much free time to lepak and watch DVDs but I had to go home coz I have morning classes :S

Finally already settled into some kinda of routine. Mon & Weds get up at 7.30 to leave the hse at 8am then go to Vista Millennium, Puchong to take the 9am bus to Cyber. Then evenings take the Bus back to Kelana Jaya. The other days I just drive to Cyber – which means i usually leave the hse 30-45 mins before my class starts.

Oh, oh! I just joined Facebook. I put my blog feeds there as well. I like how you can describe how your met/got to know a certain friend. Met one of my old friends from Sabah who migrated overseas. And its soo much cleaner than myspace or friendster. I like the apps where i can add what book i have already/want to read and movies i have already/want to watch.

Oh and I also opened a new blog titled Zestful Eats – with the occasional contribution from Pammy & G. I quote from the blog “This blog is all about food, food and food! Reviews on restaurants, promotions for food items, recipes and anything else related to food. Please leave your calorie counters & diets at the door.” Yea so go check it out – especially my our new project – “50 roti-s in 50 days”. So pls bookmark it and visit it often :D

Hero/Heroine – Boys Like Girls
It’s too late baby, there’s no turning around
I’ve got my hands in my pocket and my head in a cloud
This is how I do
When I think about you
I never thought that you could break me apart
I keep a sinister smile and a hold of my heart
You want to get inside
Then you need to get in line
But not this time

Cause you caught me off guard
Now I’m running and screaming
I feel like a hero and you are my heroine
I won’t try to philosophize

I’ll just take a deep breath and I’ll look in your eyes
This is how I feel
And its so so real
I got a closet filled up to the brim
With the ghosts of my past and the skeletons
And I don’t know why
You’d even try
But I won’t lie

You caught me off guard
Now I’m running and screaming
I feel like a hero and you are my heroine
Do you know that your love is the sweetest sin?

And I feel a weakness coming on
Never felt so good to be so wrong
Had my heart on lockdown
And then you turned me around
I’m feeling like a new born child
Every time I get a chance to see you smile
It’s not complicated
I was so jaded

And you caught me off guard
Now I’m running and screaming
I feel like a hero and you are my heroine
Do you know that your love is the sweetest sin?
(I feel like a hero and you are my heroine)

And I feel a weakness coming on
Never felt so good to be so wrong
Had my heart on lockdown
And then you turned me around
(Do you know that your love is the sweetest sin?)
I’m feeling like a new born child
Every time I get a chance to see you smile
It’s not complicated
I was so jaded
(Repeat)

dinerdash

Don’t we all love fridays :D its the weekend already! And one good way to spend it is to play this really fun game.

Diner Dash has a new version called : Flo on the Go. Its a lot more challenging than the previous games with a spotlight mode – where the whole place is dark except for your mouse which is a spotlight, vibration mode – where drinks area always spilled and you have to mop it up.
Oh they also have a new addition where you can change Flo’s waredrobe so that she wears something other than the apron.Read evie’s review >> here . Pic above taken from her blog also

Think its just a game for kids? Try it out and you’ll see…

Hamster Happiness

Posted by on August 7, 2007  |  20 Comments

Yes! I *finally* got hamsters after almost a month of asking around if anyone wanted to give hamsters to me. Thanks to Zul@Zaag@Messi who met up with me at LowYat to pass the hamsters.

Oh im getting way ahead of myself. After my alcoholics drinking BBQ party last Friday night – which went on until 6-ish after sending Jazzy & Ayman to Bkt Jalil then goin to lepak kat kedai mamak for a bit – I hardly had enough sleep because was busy clearing up after. So with just 1-2 hrs sleep, A woke me up at 9am asking if we jadi to go out (we already planned the night before to go out at 10am to get my hamster stuff). He came early and I had to rush to get ready.

Then we went to shah alam to run his errands for a while and then proceeded to KL. He brought me to Jalan Pasar where I bought a cage + bedding (wood shavings) + Hamster food mix for ONLY Rm38 total! Damn cheap weh! In Ikano the cage alone is like RM60++. Crazy.

Then met up with Zul around 1 something at LowYat and he brought the 2 hamsters with him in a cage wrapped in plastic. Poor zul having to bring it all the way from UniSel by bus->ktm->monorail. Poor hamsters hving to endure the long ride. I offered to take the cage from him while he went around KL and promised to pass it back to him later in the evening in Sg Buloh.

Then we stopped by Pudu for about half an hr coz A wanted to meet up with a friend of his and we had some drinks with her. Apparently she’s this chinese chick who used to be his ex-schoolmate. He was from a chinese school. It was nice hearing them reminiscence about the past and I instantly thought of my schoolmates and how nice it’ll be to meet them again.

So anyway, I got home, set up the cage and put the 2 hamsters in their new home. The hamsters are rather violent and tend to bite (tho the smaller one is tamer now). I hope they’ll get used to my scent soon.

This is the bigger hamster which is brown with black streaks. Kind of violent, likes to bite, sometimes even until you bleed.

The cuter one of the two. Small with glossy black fur. More tamer now, still has the tendency to nibble tho. More photos of the hamsters here

I hvnt thought about their names yet. Any suggestions?

BBQ Party

Posted by on August 5, 2007  |  1 Comment

What did you guys do over the weekend?Pam just came back from Sabah last week, and our usual ritual is to have a makan2 dinner with the fresh seafood she brought back. The previous time, we had a fantastic steamboat dinner and this time we organized a BBQ party.One the menu we had prawn satay, chicken wings, spaghetti, mushroom soup, garlic bread, potatoes **tak jadi** and Mike promised to bring lamb. Marinated the chicken & cooked the spaghetti sauce the night before. Then went for class that afternoon, got back home, cleaned my room, the toilet and the house a little bit then got to cooking.In the beginning things were rather boring coz a few people came really late but after everyone finally arrived and the bottles were opened – we had Bombay Sapphire which is dry gin in a blueish bottle, Absolut Mandarin – orange flavoured vodka and Tequila..not sure what kinda brand it is, my fren gave it to me FOC.Anyway thanks for coming over Mike, Afdzal, Jazzy, Ayman, Taufan, Craig, Fariz (aiyah i forgot about u) & Pam. You guys rock! we should do this more often :DMore pics >> here <<

Happiness in a tub

Posted by on August 1, 2007  |  4 Comments

Do you know what date it was yesterday? It was the 31st of July. And that means….

31% off in Baskin Robbins for a pint, quart or half gallon. Yay!

I texted G because she was going to pick my youngest sister from school and asked her to stop by Baskin Robbins to grab a pint of icecream. Apparently she was already at Centerpoint Dsara. We decided to take 2 flavours : Jamoca Almond Fudge – ‘Java and mocha ice cream with a chocolate fudge ribbon and roasted almonds‘ and my favourite – Strawberry Cheesecake‘Cheesecake ice cream with cheesecake cubes and a strawberry ribbon’.

 Lousy pic coz we couldn’t wait to get our hands on it

Only RM 17 after discount. Best eaten when PMS-ing. Hehehe!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well I had a class yesterday morning at 11.00 – 12.30am. Its Software Project Management. I think its going to be very boring theoretical with boring a lot of report writing. At least we start tutorial next week so Im free on Thursday.
Today Im having Ethics and Professional Conduct (sounds boring also), Major Project (a bit worried about this) and Concept of Modelling (sounds like fun).  Sadly, that also means 9am to 6pm class including 1.5 hr lunch break. *sigh*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Im also in the midst of a setting up something. We’ll see how it goes…
