Nine hours to Phuket

Posted by on January 31, 2008  |  5 Comments

Our flight is at 1245 hours today and this is what my room looked like at 2 am

An absolute mess with the three of us girls panic packing and crosschecking with each other to ensure we didn’t leave anything essential (like underwear or, god forbid, makeup!) because, as Aree repeated over and over, “you’ll never know who you’ll meet”. Hehehe!

Finally finished packing at around 3am-ish before having a much needed sleep. Tho I doubt I’ll sleep soundly tonite. Excited!

Oh, thanks to Pam for handcarrying this huge cheese cake that was so yummylicious all the way from Kota Kinabalu. It was supposed to be for her bday on 4th feb but we ate her cake first :P

One day before Phuket

Posted by on January 30, 2008  |  4 Comments

Had a slight drama this morning (around 3am). Aree texted me saying “Holy fuck i just checkd my passport xpired! Mcmana ni?!” and then she rang me up before I could reply to her text. We went around asking people how long it would take to make a new passport. And found out that it takes about 24 hours to process and complete. So as of now (8am) Aree is currently at Pusat Bandar Damansara doing her passport. Hope it gets done in time because our flight is 12 something tomorrow.

Omg I can’t believe we’re actually flying off to Phuket tomorrow. The plan today is Pam is flying in from KK at around 3pm-ish. Such a jet setter that girl. Then she’s coming to pick up her car and off to a meeting.

Phuket in 3 days

Posted by on January 28, 2008  |  2 Comments

Some updates before talking about Phuket:

I had a very scrumptious seafood dinner last night (Sunday night) with him. We were so hungry and ate kinda late – some time after 9pm – that we ordered lots to eat. We had 2 crabs cooked sweet and sour, big butter prawns, sizzling taufu and bamboo lala fried with chilli.

Pictures? None. Well, for one thing, we were so hungry that we were halfway thru before remembering to take photos and my phone also decided to hang on me and the few photos that I took disappeared. Oh well, you had to trust me that the food looked and tasted delish. Plus it was quite reasonable at less than RM100. Tenkiu for the dinner :*

Curve Shopping

Posted by on January 27, 2008  |  2 Comments

Basically, we was hanging out in Curve/Ikea/Ikano/Cineleisure area again yesterday :P Its practically my second home. The decorations in Curve is really nice. Like a scene out of those ancient china movie or TV series where they walk in short small steps and wear those huge bows on their head. LOL!

When Friends Get Annoying Part I

Posted by on January 26, 2008  |  1 Comment

At the risk of blowing my own horn, I’m just going to make this perasan statement. I’m known (I think) for being willing to help friends when they are in need. Well, as long as its not menyusahkan me or out of the way (like for example asking me to pick u up from SS2 to lepak kat Cineleisure – helo! Im not a taxi).

But then, there are times when some friends, or should I say “friends” – with extra emphasis on the inverted commas – tend to take advantage of that.

LRT Sights and Smells

Posted by on January 24, 2008  |  2 Comments

I took the LRT today. Haha! I haven’t been on the LRT for ages. Forgot how convenient it was to not have to worry about jams and rushing through traffic, paying through all the tolls. But the part that I most dislike is the parking, searching for empty spaces and looking for autopay machines.

Ah but I also forgot the bad parts about taking the LRT. The lines while buying tickets (but I used my TnG) and how packed the LRT can be. And the smells! OMG! Bau ketiak and bangla and all that. Urghh…

BBQ Stories

Example of teak wood furniture. I wish my house was like this tho :P

Everyone knows I love to host barbecues in my house. I just love a group of friends getting together and each cooking, drinking and laughing over who is the worst cook who burnt all the chicken wings and sausages.I have small area of green lawn in front of my house and a big patio so we usually set up the BBQ set and all the food and drinks outside.

I remembered this incident when I had a bbq party and the next day (after everyone was sober from the drinking session the night before) we found out that one of my patio chairs was broken. Hahaha! Seriously!

Maybe I need to get stronger furniture like teak patio furniture so that I won’t have any more broken chairs. Hehe!
