Book of Poems

Posted by on April 30, 2008  |  No Comments

I was digging thru my blog and found this poem i wrote in 2004. Its titled ‘Crimson Butterfly’ and a metaphor of the innocent children and woman who are victims of crimes.

A white pair of wings flits by softly
Passing valleys, streams and rivers wide
Resting on flower beds, bushes and trees lazily
In and out of beautiful petals it hides

A picture of serenity we behold
Of a white butterfly passing by
But something is about to happen
To wreck havoc in this peaceful world

A sound is heard in the distance
The only sound which breaks the silence
A fast-moving object whizzes through the air
As a small sharp bolt moves intently on its target

Then suddenly, the butterfly stops in midair
And falls to the ground slowly
It lies on the ground with wings outstretched
And a silent cry echoes through the woods.

Unexpectedly blood gushes out of its frail being
Leaving its white wings stained
Bloody crimson on pure white, a sharp contrast
A lifeless creature soon to be forgotten.

Soon after, a thunder resounds
And soft raindrops fall on the earth
Cleansing the earth, leaving it pure again
And hoping for a better future

When I was younger, I wished to self publish a book of all my poems but as I grew older, I stopped writing because I had no inspiration or time. Perhaps I should continue writing and one day achieve my dream of writing my own book.

lego man in 3ds max

Someone said that its been a while since I wrote a proper post. Sorry! Been so busy lah :P Main been catching up with all my pending assignments. Have 3 projects this final sem *die!*. One of my assignments requires a short animation in 3d and this is my character, a lego man/robot. Thats a rendering of my character. I had to add knees to my lego man to allow for better movement later when I animate it. This class is really so much fun! We did bones last week and this week we’re doing skinning. Its all done in 3ds max 6. I actually have 3dsmax 9 but the lab uses 6 so better use 6 lor.

Okay, nuff about school work. I went to the PayLessBooks Warehouse sale last Sunday. It was sooo cheap! Fiction books for RM12 for 5 books and science fiction books buy 1 free 1, even for hard covers. The bf was so excited to see a StarWars hard cover book for only RM18 and a Dick Tracy book. He ended up buying 4-5 books. I ended up buying 8 books- 5 fiction (RM12), 2 science fiction (RM8) and Pulitzer (sp?) Winner book titled "Angela’s Ashes" (RM5). Cheap eh? Oh, we also bought this bookabout personalities of guys based on their horoscopes. Really interesting read.

Hurm, what else? Oh yes, I’m currently very addicted with online shopping. This month alone I spent a lot on online shopping. Which explains why Im kinda broke now.  I mostly buy stuff from overseas that I can’t get here. This is all from LYN forumers who conduct sprees so that the shipping costs will be cheaper. This is what I’ve bought as of now:

  • Biomedics Contact lenses – RM75 for a box <–this one a bit expensive :( found a cheaper shop now
  • White wallet for my sis – RM14
  • Sunsilk Hair Mist – RM4 <–I absolutely LOVE this one!
  • Elf (www.eyeslipsface.com) cosmetics (13 items) – RM100 + USD17.50 <– Decided to spend some money on my sisters about RM50 each and used my paypal to pay for half
  • Bath and Body Works (www.bathandbodyworks.com) Body Splash (3 items) – RM 90
  • Victoria Secret Beauty Rush Grapefruit Blast Body Drink Lotion & Double Body Mist – USD 27.90 <–yea paypal again

Whoa, after listing it out then I realized I really did spend a lot of money on shopping. LOL! Thats almost RM400 (or more) there. Okay, enough shopping till the end of the year. At least its way cheaper to pay via paypal then to withdraw it out in RM (this is to pacify myself for spending alot). Haha!

Damn you online shopping!

Opps..time for class. gtg

Internet = Life?

Why should i be involved in your petty squabbles and disputes? That’s what happens when you revolve your real life around your online life. You get too over emotional about something intangible, something you cannot see, something you cannot touch, something that you cannot guarantee that will be there forever.

For example, crazy bloggers who always cari gaduh and get super sensitive over their blog. When they get a malicious email they overreact and say they want to go to the police and all to report. Puh-leese, how most STUPID can those bloggers be?

okay, I understand you have put your blood and sweat in this. But have you thought what if suddenly it all disappears? Does it mean that your life is gone? Wana go commit suicide meh?

My blog has been around since 2004. Maybe not as long as your long 10 yrs devoted to your site. But I wrote my heart and soul in this and if one day it all disappears. Of course, I’ll be sad for a while, but then life goes on.

You put me in a bad situation today. Someone came to me in confidence and I was torn in between telling you, holding to my philosophy that everyone has the right to choose and keeping their confidence.

Well, you won. And he’s going to know that its me who told you. Happy?

I’m not.

Download Friday : The Game

Posted by on April 25, 2008  |  2 Comments

Sorry this is a bit late. Totally forgot to publish it, even tho I wrote this post already and saved it as a draft. LOL!

Anyway, unlike previous downloads, today I’m bringing you an interesting book by Neil Strauss titled The Game : Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists. This book was actually recommended by a guy friend of mine. It tells the story of how a guy learned the tricks of becoming a pickup artist/player. Interesting read.

OMG! I lost my Penis!

Wouldn’t that be funny? If you’re a guy (or your bf/hubby) and your penis suddenly shrunk and disappeared. I’m sure you (or they) will freak out. Funny thing is, it’s suspected to be happening in Congo. Click on the spoiler to read the news article.

I’m sure the guys instantly checked to see if they still have their equipment when they read this news article. LOL!

I need a break

Posted by on April 24, 2008  |  No Comments

Uh, I need a break. So much school work to do and I feel so distracted. The great thing about this semester is that I don’t have lots of papers to complete. Especially since its my final semester and I’m so happy I’m not bogged down by loads of exams. The bad part is, I have 3 major tedious projects to finish up by the end of this semester.

The thing I like to do to de-stress is to hang out with my dearest friends. Usually we go clubbing or partying to let of some steam, have a couple of drinks, dance to good music and ogle at hot guys – be it black, white or brown. Other times we have pigging out sessions where we either gather up everyone for a potluck or eat out at a nice restaurant.

Hey babes, we should go for a picnic one of these days. Bring sandwiches and other food, lay down the picnic blanket and have fun. Or go to a waterfall or something. It’ll be fun yea?

[Video] Freeze for World Earth Day

Posted by on April 22, 2008  |  No Comments

As you know, Hitz.FM in collaboration with Random Alphabets and United Colours of Malaysia decided to host a freeze in conjunction with World Earth Day. Participants were required to freeze in positions that created awareness about the state of our earth today such as pollution, etc etc. You can read more about it in my previous post here.

These are the videos from the event:

Paper Crafting

Posted by on April 20, 2008  |  No Comments

I have this hobby. Its creating papercraft. I wrote about this before I think. There’s something about cutting and pasting and creating models that I just like. I can do simple things from a hexagonal shape to something really complex like a japanese castle. It actually depends on my mood.

Not to mention that I’m also a student. Better at typing out assignments in my computer then writing it out with pen and paper. My collage gives us a printing card which allows us to print 500 pages a semester but sometimes I feel that it’s not enough.

Both of these things involve loads of money spent on paper and ink. So I’m always looking for ways to save on printing – like printing in Draft mode – or at least find places where they sell cheap ink cartridges.

I’m using a hp deskjet which I got for free when we bought the family computer – which was a HP desktop computer – and one black ink cartridge costs RM50-60 depending on where I buy it. There are so many different types of printers in the market now – deskjet, inkjet, laser printers, etc – which can be rather confusing. There’s even the all-in-one types like Brother multi function printers.

My solution to my printing problem? I usually get my dad to print it in his office. Especially if i want it in colour. Hehe
