Labeling Items

Posted by on August 13, 2008  |  No Comments

Erin was complaining to me about her housemate dilemma. Her housemates have been taking the food that she paid for, using her plastic containers and even misusing her pots and pans (those non-stick ones that are pricy and cant be scraped with metal spatula). Newest incident, some of her stuff is missing.

Perhaps she should start labeling all her things, from nail polish (which was one of the things that was missing) to food containers. I remembered back in school (i think it was in kindergarden) my mom would label every single thing I had. She would write out my name and stick it with clear sticky tape to my pens, lunchbox, pencil case, bag and basically everything. She even sewed my name on my clothes.

Well, you know kids. They will sometimes forget their things and the next day it will be hand to find it. Or if they see something that is nicer and shinier than theirs, they might just takit it. I remember always getting scolded because I tend to lose my items. Back then, my mom had to handwrite all her lables but now its much easier with devices such as DYMO Labelmaker which can automatically print out lables on materials of your choice.

Future Plans

Posted by on August 10, 2008  |  1 Comment

I have some friends who ask me what are my plans now that I’ve already graduated. The standard answer I’ll give is “dok umah tunggu org dtg meminang.” LOL! Yea rite! As if I want to get hitched so early. Not that I have any calon yet, so yea.

In all seriousness tho, the past few days has been filled with lots and lots of mamak sessions (sometimes even going out at 3am), clubbing nights out (and only coming home at 4-5am) and also sleeping (a girl needs her rest too :P).

This whole month I’m on a break from doing anything so this is my time to enjoy. In September I’ll be attending a two month course on PHP & MySQL sponsored by MDeC at KLCC. Perfect timing, I would say.

Will be going to PD on Friday night with the gang for Alang and Ira’s wedding. Sounds like its goinna be a huge sleepover with lots of ppl bunking in one aprt. LOL! Will be back Saturday night. On Sunday is another kenduri kawin of a forum friend in Cheras, then at night Cass P invited me for dinner at Ampang. Busy weekend ahead, I know.

Long term wise, my frens and I are planning to take a trip down to Langkawi (this one ntah jadi ke tak but I’m up for it) in mid Dec. Then end of Dec to the New Year I’m going to Kuching for my cousin’s wedding (kawin lagi?) with the family. And Jan-Feb next year is the trip to Koh Phangan with the girls.

Yes, busy busy months ahead :D

p/s: Its my birthday next month so do start saving for my present. LOL!

Do girls look good in big sunglasses?

Posted by on August 10, 2008  |  4 Comments

There’s this thread in this forum that I’m active in which lists down “5 Women’s Styles/Fashion that Men Hate”. The five things on the list were :

  1. Cheek piercings
  2. Excessive makeup/foundation
  3. Pets as accessories
  4. High Belts
  5. Giant Sunglasses

Well i kinda agree with the first three. I mean I’m ok with piercings and tattoos but for it to be in somewhere obvious and poking out is a bit unprofessional and in my mind, not very nice. The excessive makeup thingy is such a turn off especially if its the wrong blend of colors. Pets as accessories is wrong on so many levels. Paris hilton wannabe?

Actually im kinda on the fence about num 4 – High Belts. I think thats its nice but only on certain people and certain outfits. You must hv enough style sense to actually pull this off.

Big sunglasses however are hot (to me that is). Not those that are gigantic and covers half of your face. I mean those really nice sunglasses like the ones the celebs wear. It has to match the size of your face also. There are lots of different types of designs that you can see online. I like something like this:

Gorgeous rite? And it only costs $14.95! I got a similar one but in a darker brown which i use when driving. Should probably get a new one soon tho. Hehe!

Impromptu road trip

Posted by on August 5, 2008  |  2 Comments

It has been really bloody hot in KL the past few days. I’ve been spending my days wearing the absolute minimum amount of clothing and sealing off my room to the outside heat. Then I was chatting with a friend yesterday who had a room in Awana with two queen sized beds due to some kind of meeting and I was invited to come.

So apa lagi, after packing a change of clothes, my laptop (coz the room has wifi- yey!), filling my car with petrol, I shot off to Genting at around 5.00pm. Surprisingly the MRR2 wasn’t jammed. Only one lane in Kepong was closed. In less than 2 hours, I was finally experiencing the cool air from the balcony of the 26th floor while sipping tea.

My friend had meetings and events till late at night so I was asked to make myself at home. I was prepared and brought my DVDs – I’m currently watching Grey’s Anatomy (yea I know, I just started watching the series. Am currently at Season 3). This is the life, bundled up in a comforter with the cool air coming in the windows and watching TV Series.

So sad that I have to drive back today :(

My Graduation Day

The big day is here! After a few calls and sms-es to make sure that I really am graduating and after one day of rehearsals, its finally D-Day. This post will be picture heavy.

After a night of clubbing with my new found friends at Laundry Bar & Mystique (and had way too much to drink), it was hard to get up to go to campus at 11am. Had to register then go and lepak with my classmates – some were taking photos and all that.

Cute Rubber Stamps

Remember those cute little rubber stamps? When I was younger I loved this so much! I insisted that my parents bought me this everytime we went to the kedai runcit (sundry shop). Its twelve square and cyclindrical sticks with various types of expressions and designs with a stamp at the end of the stick. It also comes with a small rectangle of notepad and an even smaller square of ink pad. I think I drove my parents crazying trying to mark every single paper with those stamps. Luckily for some reason I didn’t stamp our whole walls. Haha! Its hard to resist white walls and stamp in brightly colored smileys in red, yellow or green.

Then there was those times that I paid a visit to my dad’s office and he had all those rubber stamps with “Urgent”, “Paid”, “Priority”, “Approved”, “From the desk of.” all in different-different colours. Ah, those were the days. Now you can order your own pre-designed Rubber Stamps. Even with funny phases like, “WTF!?!”, “Who Cares?” and “Blah, blah, blah.” You can also use the coupon code Stamps50 for a discount of 50% on Small Rubber Stamps. Nice eh?

I think I wana get one saying “Approved by http://me.zestful.org
