I totally semangat to make kuih raya the other day. Aree came over to help as well. We went to Tesco to do some grocery shopping (for her) and ingredient shopping (for me). Came back and realized that I didn’t have butter at home – my mom usually buys lots because she bakes often but apparently, its finished – so we headed out to the nearest 7E to buy butter (and aree wanted to buy rokok).
So yea, I’ve always liked recipes that you can use a cookie press (dunno wut that is? click here) to make because its really convinient. So Anne posted a recipe on making Biskut Bunga Cina which is this milky sweet melt-in-your-mouth cookie. Its supposed to look like this:

But mine turned out like this :
Damn sad okay? :( Seldom my cookies and cakes tak jadi. For one thing, perhaps my oven should be put on a lower setting. Secondly, I don’t know how much condensed milk to put (she just mentioned 1 tin kecil). Thirdly, the dough hardens really fast.
Tolong Anne *nangis*

Now that I drive daily from Damansara to KLCC, I find that I really need to get a good pair of sunglasses. Previously, I drove mostly at night – late night yumcha sessions or clubbing nights out with the girls – so I didn’t really need it. I have one currently but its a bit scratched so its not all the comfortable to use.
I’ve read that for my kind of face (the chubby rounded type), I should use square-ish sunglasses. That means none of that huge round aviators (I don’t really like em anyway) because it will make your face look rounder.
I personally have a thing for wraparounds – the type of sporty looking sunglasses that wrap around your face. Some thing like this one from Oakley :
Nice yea? I’ve been trying many many pairs now but still have yet to find the right one. Guess I have to shop around more then.

Lately I’ve got some people asking me about how I do my online shopping. Well there are three ways I generally do it:
1) Buy from auction sites such as eBay or Lelong
2) Buy from forums like Lowyat.net or MalaysianBabes.com
3) Buy from websites overseas
I notice there is still that worry among the ppl about getting cheated. Something like “how if I pay and I never get the item?” Well ladies and gents, there are certain policies that ensure you will have a safe and secure transaction. For eBay there’s a point system and for forums there’s a tradelist of some sort to show the previous transactions.
Personally I like buying online because its so very convinient. Transfer the money via online banking or Paypal and just wait for the item to arrive. Plus, some websites even have discounts and promotions. Sometimes you can even use promo codes to get a better deal.
Ah..everything at our fingertips.

Orange Drenched cake with chocolate topping & banana slices
Twenty three years.
I’ve experience so much this year. Been through lots of up and downs. Felt what it was like to be the happiest person in the world and also what it felt like to have my world crashing down on me in a blink of an eye, without warning, without any remains.
I’ve accomplished many things. I think I grew up a lot this year. Started (and still planning on starting) new projects and endeavors that were an eye opener. Had a taste of how my future will be like. Gained invaluable experience.
And for this, I am utterly grateful.
…and its during times of happiness like this that I miss you the most…
