Movie Review : Bolt 3D

Posted by on December 7, 2008  |  3 Comments

I was at Pavillion last weekend just to jalan-jalan because I seldom go there and I wanted to catch a movie. So, I decided to go and watch Bolt 3D since the only time I’ve seen a 3D movie is in the IMAX teather.

Summary : For super-dog Bolt, every day is filled with adventure, danger and intrigue – at least until the cameras stop rolling. When the canine star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet – a cross-country journey through the real world. Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and with the help of two unlikely traveling companions – a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens and TV-obsessed hamster in a plastic ball named Rhino – Bolt discovers he doesn’t need superpowers to be a hero.

This is a nice movie to watch with the family tho. The hamster is sooo cute and funny. The dog, Bolt, is naive and innocent. And the cat, Mittens is street smart. Its a feel good movie where everything turns out right in the end.

Honestly, I thought this movie was just okay. Nothing spectacular to be shouting about. Not to say that it was lousy. It was good. Just not excellant. Walt Disney, what happened to your disney magic? Tsk

Oh yea, dont take the 3D one. Its only available in certain GSC and TGV cinemas. I didn’t think it was worth it since the “3D” effect was rather little. You can see the depth of field between the characters and the background but thats about it I think.

Hotels in Kuching?

Posted by on December 3, 2008  |  No Comments

I’ll be going to Kuching for a few days in January for my cousin’s wedding. I’m hoping to be able to lepak with my friends there – someone wants to belanja me tequila to try and get me drunk. Haha!

Obviously I shouldn’t go back home to my aunty/uncle’s place after clubbing right? I wonder if I should go rent a room with my friends to lepak2 after clubbing then they also wouldn’t hv to drive back.

I was searching through this website – CompareHotel.com.my – that searches for the cheapest hotel rates online based on location. You just key in a city that you want to search and put in the dates. Then they will search for online hotel fees and display it in MYR.

Nice yea? Hotels in Kuching are around RM200, give or take. Hilton Hotel is around RM190 and Holiday Inn is around RM180. For KL hotels, It ranges from RM100 and up.

So, any suggestions for a place in Kuching?

p/s: CompareHotel.com.my is looking for bloggers to help in their sponsor a child program. Do help :)

Not feeling well *sniff*

Ah, this lack of sleep is taking a toll on me. How long as it been now? Definatly more than 24 hrs. Why you ask? It has been a long day. Suffice to say, circumstances was against me today.

This persistant flu is bugging me. The sneezing comes once a while – mostly mornings but now even my ear is slightly blocked due to my blocked nose. I wonder why is that.

My mom made one of my favourite meals today. Ikan Pari Bakar (bakar-ed over the stove in a pan that is). Just when I needed comfort food the most – not like I can taste it properly due to the aforementioned flu.

Time for me to eat, the food’s all nicely heated up. My first proper meal of the day. I had breakfast around 9.30am and no other solid food in between – cups and cups of nescafe doesn’t count for ‘food’ right?

Ah, will take some meds after this and drift off to drug-induced sleep.

Bliss.. (the medicinal kind)

Posted by on December 1, 2008  |  No Comments

Little things in life do make me happy.

  • Having enough sleep last nite
  • Finished all my work and got my payment
  • Took a nice warm shower & washed my hair
  • Sitting in a clean room
  • Eating comfort food – baked potato pie
  • Utter bliss..
