Caramel – Suzanne Vega

I came across this song from muid’s blog and thought it sounded familiar so I downloaded it got it and played it. Ahh, what a really really nice song. Just the kinda song that I like to listen to. Like muid said, its about how you longed for that person, but you can’t get that person, so you have to let it go. Yes, letting go. I’m ‘good’ at that.

It won’t do
to dream of caramel,
to think of cinnamon
and long for you.

It won’t do
to stir a deep desire,
to fan a hidden fire
that can never burn true.

I know your name,
I know your skin,
I know the way
these things begin;

But I don’t know
how I would live with myself,
what I’d forgive of myself
if you don’t go.

So goodbye,
sweet appetite,
no single bite
could satisfy…

I know your name,
I know your skin,
I know the way
these things begin;

But I don’t know
what I would give of myself,
how I would live with myself
if you don’t go.

It won’t do
to dream of caramel,
to think of cinnamon
and long
for you.

Pics and post about the KK trip should be coming up soon. Just got back to KL today so kinda tired

Forgive my emo-ness, I came across something that reminded me of him today
