bizi as usual ler kan?

Posted by on December 13, 2006  |  2 Comments

I got about 6-7 drafts that are half written since i started my holidays. the pangsun trip one oso mcm tulis ala kadar only..too bloody lazy to actually write in detail. Am currently bizi goin out, clubbing every 2 days (at least), eating out quite often (coz frens “dragged” me to go out), and sleeping (what’s new la kan?).

Am currently working but feeling reli lazy on this workbook (buku kerja) for Primary 4 english literature students. Pay’s not that fantastic (and plus i will get it only after the book is published – which is like prolly late 2007) but its a rather interesting job coz I have to keep coming up with fun exercises. Have to send up my first part in 2 days and im only halfway thru it (im sooo screwed).

Like i mentioned earlier, been going lepaking a lot – meeting up with chatters mostly. The favourite hangout is McD Centerpoint, i think i go there at least once a week now. LOL! (bila la nak kurus nih?). Been lepaking at Lotus & Pelita in KL, shah alam, went kareoke-ing at plaza imbi, red box @ curve.

I noticed that i’ve been clubbing and drinking a lot more the past month or so. Especially with Pam, we are such bad influences for each other. LOL! Went to Sugar (at some hotel, i forgot which) to celebrate G’s 18th bday last mth, clubbed at Poppy Garden (opposite rum jungle) with pam’s arab frens, lepaked at Cynna bar, Ivy and Loft (Asian Heritage Row) with Nelson and gang, chilled out at a pub in Dsara with JD and cho tai di (which i kept losing and kept having to drink) and lepak in Planet Hollywood for ladies nite (monday and wednesday) just to have a glass of wine and borak2 while enjoying the live band – which is exactly what i did last monday with pam and nazri (and a digital camera).

Oh, this week im busy renewing my passport so have to go the immigration and what not. God i hate the system here. takes ages. I went yesterday and they ran out of numbers before lunch time so I had to go again this morning around 8am. FInally finished everything right before lunch and that was also coz i got all my forms approved the day before.

I’ll be away from the 17th – 21st dec because Im goin on holiday with my family to Vietnam (my dad has a meeting for 2 days there) so dont miss me too much yea? :* Change of plans, my dad’s meeting was cancelled due to the typhoon.

no mood

Posted by on October 14, 2006  |  No Comments

no mood wei, no mood! the only good thing this week is i got an extra side income which only took about 2 days and has a big payoff.

Oh btw, to those who were interested, my puasa makan attempt on thursday was a success. I berbuka at Awan Besar with Satay…yummy :P

Friday I had classes, got stuck in a jam on the way home then went out for dinner with Erin – she ‘booked’ me as early as wed nite because she tot i’d be “so busy” – at Manhattan Fish Market, Ikano coz i was craving for fish and chips. Chit chat, then G smsed asking if we were goin to Laundry Bar. I swear that gal keeps looking for an excuse to go out (but i agreed to go oso :P). Hung out in laundry bar for hours. Had “Sex on the Beach” (its the name of the cocktail idiot), a shot of Jose Cuervo and a Jug of Frozen margarita (shared with G & Erin). [Damage : rm100]

Saturday I stayed at home till about 2-3 pm when Pammy dragged me out to go Bangsar to do some threading, and we stopped by this new bookstore and i bought some stationary, then we went to

Football Fever @ Laundry Bar

Posted by on June 10, 2006  |  3 Comments

Pam, Aree, Erin & I went out for dinner last nite at Chilis OU. Aree had a craving for steak. The rest of us had burgers and of course, 2-3 helpings of Tostada Chips+salsa and a bowl of Beef Queso…yums, been craving for that for ages. After that we continued at Laundry Bar to grab some drinks and watch the opening match : Germany vs Costa Rica.

It was my first time at Laundry Bar and I had already heard good things about it. It was packed full. there were so many people seated outside watching the big screen TV in front of the Cineleisure. Half of the people were already tipsy from beer (Tiger promotion, RM60 for 4+1 bottles of beer – or was it 5+1?).

Pam had a Diet coke (coz she’s trying to stop drinking), erin had a pineapple-plus-some-other-things mocktail and aree had a cosmopolitan. I got persuaded by the uncute waiter to order a Chemical Shooter (RM33). Its a set of 4 shots meant to be drunk all at once, one after another. First filled with guava juice+some kinda alcohol, next one with a blue liquid (im not sure what), third with lime + some kinda alcohol and lastly 2 pieces of lychee + some kinda alcohol. Its really GOOOD!! Sweet but with the liquor aftertaste. A little bit slow to hit but I think most ppl would feel tipsy after it (not me tho, what can i say :P).

The whole night was spent dancing, watching football, screaming at the goals Germany scored (omg, i sooo liked that goal shot from quite a distance, that was sweet). Music was good (I had a feeling the DJ supported Germany coz he played uber nice songs after they goaled), a very nice mix of R&B and the like.

Ended the night with a short trip to idaman for some eats after the game ended. Enjoy the rest of the pics :D

I was at Borders Time Square monday evening supposedly waiting for a fren who didnt turn up bangang so I juz loitered around looking at the books and mentally drawing up a list of what I would love to have sitting on my bookshelf. Then i spotted The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It has been recommended to me by several people.

Its really good ~!! Not too heavy reading, light enough for a casual before bedtime read (that is, if u can put the book down to sleep :P) and it not that thick, the soft cover is less than 2cm thick, if im not mistaken. So get your copy now~! or be like stingy me and read it at Borders

p/s: i think Borders is goin to be my new hangout place :P

Posted by on April 20, 2006  |  5 Comments

Was sleeping the whole day yesterday. Soo tired out from the last few weeks. Got quite a lot of SMSes actually (sorry eL, lambat reply). Pam came over about 9am (i think) and i groggily opened the door for her to use my PC to do work before goin back to bed..and waking up to open the door for her and continue tido.

Finally woke up at 8pm and Pam sms ajak kuar makan. So we (Pam, Glad, Fan & myself) decided to go down to Hartamas Square – i missed the pasta there – to makan. Pam had some mee, I had salmon spaghetti….punya main sedap :P, gladys had dim sum – her first taste of halal dimsum – and fan had some chicken thingy lah wif rice.

After that, we decided to go for some drinks at Slippery Senoritas at the Curve. {*iklan* Laundry bar and Italiannies oredi opened at the Curve la..should go one day} There was hardly anyone, so we had a good time talking and playing pool.The cocktails there weren’t so fantastic…it was ok la..price was ranging from RM20-30, depending on the drinks. Pretty standard I guess.

Before that, we stopped by at Fan’s place in Pelangi Dsara 2 for a while and his housemate got a new kitten called Angie. Soooooo cute

Sevenatenin9 Finale Launch
Date: 08/04/06
Place: 7ATE9 @ The Ascott, 9 Jalan Pinang, KL

The ever-inventive Haze returns to KL performance with HUMP, a deep-space collaboration in an exclusive invite-only performance to celebrate the launch of bar-restaurant 7ATE9. Musician and producer Haze, an international star thanks to his work with New York’s Kings of Tomorrow, will unveil his sonic tableau HUMP aided by special guest percussionists. Expect deep, dirty grooves and the usual funk twists as Haze soars through his musical journey. ~ From Heineken Music (Malaysia)

White party @ sevenatenine
White is the new black

I had invites to the finale launch – but sadly juz one for myself and another for a friend – so i brought pammy along. Dresscode is white so i was like wondering what to wear coz i got nothing white. So i had to buy a white pants – kinda like jeans material and also some white sandals – coz mine putus when i was at OU.

We went there kinda late. Its supposed to start at 7.30 or 8.00 pm but we only went there at 9pm. There were free drinks – white/red wine, jw, heineken – at the bar till around 9.45pm. So i only got white wine, which was really nice :D

The crowd was mostly made up of young working people who want to be seen and wanted to s how their faces and be seen in the in-crowd. Which was actually rather boring if u ask me. We hung around for a bit then decided to go to Planet Hollywood instead.

Segafredo
My bag, Pam’s ciggies and our milkshake

First we dropped by in PWTC to pick joe up then proceeded on to Bkt Bintang area to stop by at Planet Hollywood. Manatau it was closed for renovation. So we decided to sit opposite PH at Segafredo (I hope i got the name right) for milkshakes. We were just sitting there chatting and observing the people passing by – especially those who got turned down at PH and looked blur coz they din kno where to go.

After our milkshakes, we decided to proceed to Bangkok Jazz – Joe’s favourite place – so that we could go for drinks and say hi to Vicky who is DJing there.

Me Black & White

Of Zouk & being blur-to-the-max

Posted by on March 19, 2006  |  1 Comment

Had a fantastic time last weekend :D {Sorry for the late update DJ :P}

Thursday night went to KLCC with Erin to meet up with Mag (my close friend from KK) and Khai (a friend from Brunei). Had dinner at Signatures (the food court at 2nd flr) – had a too salty Fettucini Carbonara.

Then went to The Ascott service apartments to have some drinks in Khai’s room – cans of beer and glasses of Vodka Kurant + coke. Khai already drunk (coz he was drinking the whole day) and us gurls were juz getting started

We walked down to Rum Jungle to drop Mag to meet up with her colleagues. And Erin & I went to look see. It was filled with lots of pakciks makciks older people (more guys than ladies) and the DJ was kinda lame. Music was kind of old school oso lah

Those girls behind (I kno you guys concentrating on them) are Jim Bean (a type of whiskey – correct me if Im wrong) promoters. Red and white tight leather tops & skirts

After that, Khai, Erin & I proceeded to Zouk for Ghetto Heaven @ Zouk Mainroom. Ladies went in free, but cover charge that night was RM35+ 2 drinks of house pouring liquor or beer or coke not to sure about mineral water as some “malaysian actress” claim she was drinking. Khai had (yet another) beer and passed me one of his drinks coupon so i had a shot to tequila (on top of my 5-6 glasses of vodka kurant+coke). Felt deliciously tipsy – the greatest feeling in the world when clubbing.

Was there about 11.45pm and was dancing from 12.30 till 2am. Straight! Lucky was not wearing heels. hehe!! DJ goldfish and Tbone rocked the house. I was waiting for my song *beep* (by BEP) which they FINALLY played at 2am. hehe!! after that went back home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Went to KLCentral to meet some people then decided to go window shopping at KLCC – popped into a few shops…i lurve looking at stuff in Kinokuniya..wana buy new books!! Went to go see the new Sony mp3 player…nice la (but im still eyeing my iPod nano). [Blur Case ONE]Then i thought I had this dinner at Ikano at 8pm so I rushed from KLCC to Ikano to book a place before i realized that it was actually the next day. Fuck! Dammit….so i took a bus back to KJ before goin back to KLCC to watch movie. I kept thinking that it was Saturday. Coz i was out the whole day lepaking – a typical Saturday activity.
Reached KLCC kinda late, around 10pm, most shops were closing. But was hungerii so we went to eat at San Fran Steakhouse. Didnt know what to order so ended up ordering Clam Chowder soup (nothing fantastic), Wild Mushroom soup (not nice & the cinnamon makes it taste weird) and Lamb Shank (mash potatoes were good but the lamb had this smell and tasted yukky. The secret recipe one is yummier!). All in all, what we had was nothing fantastic. Oh, the bill was tho. Should have eaten at Chinoz, nicer food.
Wanted to watch Triston & Isolde but someone didnt want to watch love stories so we watched Final Destination 3. The beginning part was slow…but the dying part (which everyone was waiting for) was gory. ew ew ew~!! FD3 was not much different from all the other FD movies.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Was sooo blur on saturday.

Blur case 2
Sent someone off at Putra bus station then dropped by at PWTC to go see Mag who was working at the MATTA fair. She was in the Sabah booth (btw anyone who wants promotions in Sabah, do tell me, i can get you in touch with her) which was on the 3rd or 4th floor. So I went all the way up there then got stopped.

Lady : Can i see your ticket please?
Me :huh? what ticket?
Lady : You have to have a ticket to get in
Me : How much eh? and where to get?
Lady : RM3, buy it downstairs

Then i had to go down all the way, line up to buy a ticket, then go back up. Had a good talk with Mag while she had lunch. Was soo nice talking to an old friend

Blur case 3
Supposed to go meet Khai at BB so took the Star LRT to Hang tuah then take the monorail there. Im not sure how…but i managed to miss the stop to hang tuah. When the train stopped, i juz looked out the doors but didnt get up to go out. Was dreaming i think at that time. Had to stop at the next stop and go back…haha!

Went back via the Dang wangi which is nearby to the Bukit Nanas monorail (yep, the one rite outside Hard Rock) then came back, took a shower & dumped my laundry into the washing machine. Havent been doin laundry for almost 2 weeks…am running out of underwear. LOL!

Then went to Ikano on Saturday evening (the right day this time) and lepak at Starbucks for a bit talking with the waiters (but din order anything…haha) before goin to the Gathering

The last few days of holiday

Posted by on February 20, 2006  |  No Comments

Have been savoring my last bits of holiday before started semester today. :D Am updating from uni (since the bangang streamyx is still down – mayb I should switch to Jaring Broadband).

Oh, I forgot to mention that I went out with this guy fren on the 14th nite. Not as a date tho, just to meet up. Wanted to watch Buli Balik but we missed the show time – due to the rain and what not so we watched Derailed instead – starring Jennifer Aniston. Quite an interesting movie with a twisted plot. I’d give it 3 out of 5 stars. After that had dinner (more like supper coz it was at 9.30pm) at Dome. My friend wanted to pay for everything, but I insisted on goin dutch. Plus I kinda “forced” him to bring me out coz I was bored :P

Lesson of the day : A guy and girl going out is NOT considered a date

Then on the 16th went out to Cyberjaya with my mom & Gladys (Nick was busy in the morning) to register. Took about an hour because there was Sooo many people. Met up with a few old friends, but didnt really have the time for idle chitchat. Then went to Starbucks, Ikano to go online.

That night I rain checked on Nick‘s offer for dinner (sorry Nick!) and went out to my friend’s place in Pandan and had a few drinks with the housemates. Chit chat, talked a bit. I didnt eat anything since lunch so the alcohol hit me hard that nite. We had chivas+coke and vodka kurant+coke. But u kno, when u drink with those kinda of guys, u get like 2 parts alcohol to 1 part coke XP. Hehe…had like 7-8 drinks in total.

We went to Zouk after that (my fren was on the guestlist of one of the staff) but only went for an hour because we were both so buzzed already and there was so many people. Plus i really felt like puking due to the empty stomach. So we went back and after hurling everything out I felt soo much better & went to sleep.

Lesson of the day : No more drinking without eating.

Went back the next day. Did this craft project, a Bracelet holder made from an old wooden mug holder. Juz painted it with a woodstain and stuck shells onto it (will take a picture soon). Looks quite nice actually :P

Went to sleepover at my other friend’s place in Sg Besi. There was three of us so we juz lepak around, chit chat, listen to music, played guitar (well I was learning and my fren was playing). Was kind of fun but felt a bit tersisih at certain times. Maybe I was just tired :P Stayed there for 2 nites.

Lesson of the day : Sometimes three can be a crowd

Yesterday (Sunday morning) finally got back. Went to OU to look for sport shoes. Saw one Adidas one, but they didnt have my size. Im wearing 8 1/2 but they only had 8 and 9. 8 seems a bit narrow and 9 was a bit too long. Damn! Went to check in all other shops but they didnt have stock :( Decided to think about it. Would probably buy the size 8 one, because I’d rather have a slightly narrower one than a shoe that’s too loose. Price : RM216 + some goodies like tshirt, notebook.

Went home after lunch and my room was like a bombsite. Clothes hanging from every nook and cranny, table full of stuff and dust an inch thick. Obviously I havent had the time to actually clean up, been going in and out of the house, come back just to mandi and tido (just like a hotel. Hehe!) So took the time to do my laundry, lipat baju, clean my room, wipe the table, sweep, ect ect. Finally finished around 7pm and fell straight to sleep after a shower.

Woke up at 5am and wrote this post because I couldnt go back to sleep. Nick will be picking me up at 8.15am coz classes start at 9am. damn! so early!:P

Partying, clubbing & driving

Posted by on December 17, 2005  |  No Comments

Been kinda busy lately. Had Nick’s ‘Pre-Christmas’ party on the 9th. Then had my driving theory test on the 14th. Had a LONG sms conv with *him* later during the nite (read prev post). Went clubbing on Thursday nite (15th) at Zouk with Orion. Went to watch King Kong with Incik amat and his boys on Fri nite. Went to the 3-hrs bengkel ‘talk’ for my driving this afternoon.

Nick’s party was a fun (hehe! thanks for the playing host Nick). At first i kinda of had some uneasiness because I’d be the eldest one there, so I plotted to drag Erin into the loop – even tho she was sick and tired. Anyway, I made lasagne (but it had a slight bitter aftertaste because I must have burnt over-melted the butter coz was in a rush) that evening bout an hour before he picked me up coz I was out with some friends that afternoon lepaking :P But everyone said it was yummy…esp Nick. Okay, next time i make more for you, minus the burnt aftertaste. LOL!

Anyway, we played “strip or shoot”…(im beginning to really like that game)…where you have to spin an arrow and – depending on where the arrow points – strip something from the waist up/down (watch, jewellry, shirts, ect) OR drink a shot of whatever ‘beverage’ was in the shot glass. The beverage that night was neat vodka shots – no lime, no salt, just straight up…burns ur throat and only hits after a few shots (or maybe one, depending on ur alcohol tolerance). That nite was fun because there were more people playing who were sporting.

Weird thing was, I kind of felt tipsy even tho I didnt take as much as the previous time we played the game. Most probably because I havent slept the night before and was out the whole day. Or maybe because I have been cutting down alot on my drinking lately. Anyway, his party ended at around 11pm-ish. Actually im not sure because I took a nap right after the game ended and people started going back. After my nap, I went out lepaking with some friends. Sorry left u behind Erin, tot u were sound asleep :P

The driving test the other day was okay lah. I passed it. Had to get up SO early to get there early la. But at least I made a new friend and taught her how to use the LRT (poor little rich kid). Hopefully can get everything settled in the next month or so. Not like I’m going to get my own wheels anytime soon but it’ll be so convienient. I can imagine si botak saying “ah, drive urself to mosin lah!” and incik amat asking, “Can pick me up? im lazy to drive” =P hehehe!

That night (thursday) at Zouk was a blast! I had such fun that I havent had in ages. I think the last time i went to Zouk was more than like 6 mths ago when Mag was around. Even tho it was juz the 2 of us, we went around 10 something and hung around the bar, watching the bartenders do what they do best – mixing cocktails – while trying to guess what each drink was. Had a Chivas on-the-rock. It was great dancing like for 2 hrs straight even tho I was wearing heels – bout 3 inches – and my thighs were tired after that as if i’d had an all nite sex marathon…haha. But it was great fun and we didnt get harassed by any guys – not that there were many cute guys in Zouk..there was alot of hot girls tho :P

After that we lepaked with si botak, incik amat & fren till someone was practically falling asleep at the mamak stall. haha! then we went back and found my sister still busy playing games on the PC. We ended up talking till morning while someone was trying to sleep because she had work the next day. LOL! She woke up a bit cranky and not in the right mind but she did get to work :P

Didnt sleep that day, went to Low yat to pick up a new keyboard and protective plastic sheet for my iPaq then went to watch King Kong. The show was nice….esp the part on the island. But the ending part was boring and predictable so I took time to take a nap. It was nice, all snuggled up in my sweater and the cinema was cold – really really cold – and i had a good rest. LOL! After that went back and went out again around 3.30 with si botak coz he was suddenly bored then came back in the morning and managed to FINALLY sleep at 8am after 2 days of not sleeping.

Woke up at 11 something in the morning to go for my bengkel talk – which started late (waste my time only wait so damn long) and the speaker had tons of lame jokes. Went back around 7pm, took a shower, then came to Ikano. After this going to lepak…then I want to go back home and sleep sleep sleep!! :P
