Yes, the boys who brought us that infamous song and others such as “welcome to my Life” & “Addicted”, has finally reached our Malaysian shores. Performing in an exclusive gig (invites only) in Zouk KL, on the 27th (i think) sponsored by Motorola for the launching of their new hp model. (I think)

Well, im actually not a really big fan of Simple Plan, but their songs are nice. But ask me to name them one by one and I go blur. In fact, looking at the pic above, im not sure which is actually d lead singer (im assuming the one in front. LOL)

Anyways, Im part of their Malaysian street team tho - Simple Plan Underground - haha….well, juz joined for fun. A street team is like a group of fans who help promote their music. I’ve heard that ones in the US or UK get exclusive stuff like posters and CDs and stuff so Im hoping

SP is having a Meet The Fans session at Tower Records, KLCC this Sunday, 21st November 2004 at 3pm and get to meet them first, exclusively for SPU members. And I even have their full flight details.

Im not that big a fan to go all the way to KLIA. So…should i go see them at KLCC? Hmm…..

Friday
I spent the night at E’s place way in Puchong & planned to go out to Bangsar on Fri nite. So E, B (our gal fren) and I were supposed to follow some of their friends. Turned out that there was only 3 of us gals & around 7-8 guys, 3 of which were my classmates who have never seen me “dressed to kill” - was wearing a black halter {yes d one from esprit that I NEVER wore} and a short black skirt and heels plus makeup. They terkejut cipan {curi Lola’s phrase here} esp when we’re introduced and they say i look familiar. Then i say “im your classmate” and then they go, “really?!? u look so different.” Idiots

At any case, it was so packed everywhere so we settled at Alsolute Chemistry, that’s near Pharmacy {why does both names seems like connected?} and we decided to open a bottle of JD den drank & dance a bit. When the bill came, apparently the guys didnt bring enough money and we gals were like “what the….”
So we juz paid our part and disappeared to let the guys settle it. Lousy! Im NEVER goin out with them again.

When everything was settled, we met the guys again and went back together. By that time, one of my classmates was totally drunk & horny so he was hitting on me *cringe* but i managed to avoid being “touched”. A**hole! So i did get back safely. Overall, it was kinda a bad night but i did manage to take care of myself so no worries.

The upside, i met up with a guy i was chatting wif online and he was better than i expected (coz i expected the worst) {what am i supposed to think if he doesnt want to send me his pic?}. So its all gud, he’s a pretty nice guy, we juz sat and chit chat for like 15 mins.

Another upside, i managed to go out clubbing & drinking after a 4 months cuti. Considering i used to go at least once a week - to play pool mostly - back in Miri {yes i kno im a bad bad gurl}, that’s a pretty good achievement i think

Saturday
My parents picked me up this evening and we went to Bukit Bintang to go get my coloured contacts {Yay!!} but my degree was out of stock so i’m goinna get it sometime next week, mayb on Tuesday. Then we also got another cable for my handphone - hope it works this time!

After that we ate dinner at Sushi King and I had Tempura & miso soup & Inari (not sure if it’s the right word) - sweetbeancurd with rice sushi & salmon & unagi (eel) - some stolen off other ppl’s plates. LOL! On the way back outta BB it was jammed (weekends in KL, wat do u expect!) so my sisters & i took the digital cam and started taking really stupid & funny pics in the car. Will post them up soon!

p/s : i forgot to add that they settled the bill by giving wat money they had (they were rm100 ++ short) and surrendered 2 hps and took back the bottle of JDs & coke. Argh..im never stepping foot in dat club again..sure kena tempeleng.

Lol! I googled my nick and found a link to my blog (it’s the 2nd link listed) and the rest are mostly recipes. So decided to post up some of the recipes. The first link was a drink recipe for Coconut Icicle, and the next two are some dessert thingy. The other recipes online are variations of the ones im posting here.

And If i do get around to making some, i’ll post up pics ehhe…

Coconut Icicle

Ingredients : Water from 2 large coconuts, Crushed ice, 1 ginger ale (cold), 4 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters
Method : Pour coconut water into a jug, add Angostura bitters and crushed ice.
Half fill glasses, then fill with cold ginger ale.

Serve 4 people.

Coconut Ice

Ingredients
2 cups whole milk
3 cups shredded coconut, fresh or packaged
1 cup sugar
pinch cream of tartar
1 egg yolk, beaten
a few drops almond extract

Directions
1. In a small saucepan, scald milk. Place 2 cups coconut in a sieve. Pour hot milk over coconut while holding sieve over large bowl to catch liquid. Use the back of a spoon to squeeze all of the milk out of the coconut.
2. In a large saucepan, combine coconut milk, sugar, and cream of tartar. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar has dissolved.
3. Remove pan from heat and add beaten egg yolk. Beat well with a spoon. Stir in remaining coconut and add 2 or 3 drops almond extract. Taste and add more extract if desired.
4. Pour into 2 pie pans or pyrex dish. Cover with plastic wrap and place in freezer. 5. Remove coconut ice from freezer after 4 hours and break apart with a fork. Serve immediately.
Cooking time: 35 min
Serves: 6

Coconut Ice II

Ingredients:
340g desiccated coconut
340g icing sugar
400g tin of condensed milk
Optional food colouring

Cooking Directions:
1. Place the condensed milk into a bowl and add the icing sugar. Beat well then mix in the desiccated coconut. The mixture will get firm and difficult to stir but persevere until everything is all combined.
2. Divide the mixture into two (add optional food colourings to each) and spread into an 8inch square tin giving two coloured layers and allow to set overnight (time for a wee dram!)
3. Cut into small cubes and spread on a sheet of greaseproof paper to dry slightly.
4. Enjoy and remember to share with the wee bairns!

Alternative Suggestions:
Add edible colourings for a festive/seasonal variety - black and orange at Halloween, blue and white on St.Andrew’s Day, or red and pink at Valentine’s.

One day before…..my birthday and it seems like any other day. I usually feel happy & estatic when my birthday is around the corner to be able to go out and celebrate it with my friends. The past few years have been great…celebrating with ppl in KK in a BIG birthday bash at my hse…with scrumptious food which my mom & i would laboursly (sp) prepare for the whole day. I kind of enjoy those kinda parties…hanging around with my friends and having lots of them over. Then chillin in places like Coffee Bean or at the beach at nites

Looks like I’m only having dinner wif my parents and andre who is coming over tomolo. Andre’s coming over tomolo nite until the 30th & she’s going to stay in my hse. So I guess it’ll be fun except I dont kno wat she’ll do when I go to class…eheh…just ask her to play computer or watch TV la i guess. Sorry andre (-_-;)

Speaking of class…my one and only class wuz cancelled today. So frustrating….took like 30 mins to get there….then waited and didnt see my classmates for the next 10 mins den went to look for my lecturer and she wuz in her room…she informed the class yesterday apparently….and I naturally didnt kno coz i have no classes that day. Sheesh….now i wonder if i have class tomorrow morning :S

Oh yeah…i ate something interesting today - Dragon fruit! I first ate it last semester when a group of China students in my hostel offered it to us…it has a mild sweet taste. And to eat it you gotta cut of the ends den cut it. The white part has lil black seeds like in kiwis. You dont eat the red skin. The flesh (white) comes out easily from the skin so u can juz pull it off. Heheh..wuz bored so took a pic

All I can say is almost everything I did today wuz in connection wif food. Wuz up & online early aorund 8 am (!!!)….well…actually havent really slept since d day before coz overslept (refer last post). Wanted to eat pancakes…but no gas Then my mom said d gas man wuz coming at 9 am. {Yay!} Managed to finally make my pancakes smeared with peanut butter and kaya {No! Not together! In 2 seperate pancakes lah}. Online till like 1 pm while everyone else slept. My sis didnt go to school….school holidays for about a week.

When everyone finally woke up…they wanted to eat, but of course they wuz no food. No bread, No cooked rice, no sausages, only 1 can of mushroom soup or maggi mee…..which we didnt really feel like eating. After a bit more digging around we manage to find something {Thank goodness!!}………………….uncooked burger meat & potatoes. So we decided to cook burgers…….oh wait, we dont have bread…..so my sis & mom went shopping….and now we have food in d hse. When they got home, i cooked lunch {not really lunch, it wuz almost 4 pm then} and we finally ate……except that at this point, im not that hungry so juz ate a burger even tho we had soup, more burgers, mash potatoes and french fries…..all made by, who else?, Me!

My sis wants to take over the comp now so i guess i’ll go play 1 round of Gunbound before handing it over….sleepy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *yawN*
