Happy Gawai (or ‘Gawia Sowa’ as it is called in Bidayuh - which is my race, incase you didnt kno), gayu guru gerai nyamai.

I thought that my paper was on monday and kinda kelam kabut studied for Database on sunday night. After I realized that it was on Tuesday, I went to bed really early at 5pm and planned to get up to study summore.

While I was sleeping, i dreamt that I was in uni and had to give this presentation on Tuesday before my exams. So I had to kelam-kabut-ly prepare for the presentation (which god knows what i was about) and finally ended at 10pm!! So I missed my exam, and the lecturer wont let me resit AND i was stuck it uni at 10pm. It was scary coz I had to stay awake till the next morning.

I woke up with a shock thinking that I might have overslept. Looked at my hp and it was 3.30 am, Tuesday morning and i heaved a sigh of relief. Got up and studied till exam this morning. I think i did OK

This morning (at 3.30am) after I got up, I went to the toilet to take a shower. Then I saw not one, but TWO vases of the money plant - u know, that small green plant that people usually put in the toilet or in houses.

The next day I asked my mom about it an she said she put the plants there because she wants the toilet to smell nicer.

me : how the hell is it supposed to work?
mom : well, its like this, the plants absorb the smells
me : but they absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) lah
mom : Yalah, the CO2 and all the smells then it produce fresh oxigen
me : but the smells are not contained in the CO2, how would u kno it works?
mom : I dunno la..but that’s my theory
me : …..

Hepi besday to poker - a selfish, egoistic, cold-hearted bastard who thinks he knows everything and thinks he’s like Dr House, a good fren, someone who I know I can call at 3 am in the morning if Im in trouble (coz he’s not sleeping anyway lol!), someone who always picks me up driver..hehe, my personal IT helpdesk/hardware supplier and Naffy’s too , and someone who is always willing to give out advice even if we din ask for it.

Hmm….I wonder how I will be like 9 yrs from now? Hehehe~! Will be goin to OU this evening, need to pick up some stuffs and then go window shopping (no money mahh) before goin out to dinner wif frens Come to think of it, its been ages since i went to OU.

Current mood: Bored..nuttin much to do during this long weekend(except work of course, but feel a bit malas) but at least am goin out today

I went to tanjung malim on CNY eve. First we had dinner at my house with just my immediate family. We had steamboat for dinner. Had lotsa food and it was nice because it’s been some time since we ate together as a family due to tuitions, work and school conflicts.

Left our house around 11 something and reached Tg Malim slightly past midnight. Had this vegetarian dish with tang hoon (something like mee hoon), black fungus, water chestnuts, foo chuk (beancurd sheets), mushrooms and other odds and ends. Kinda forgot to take a pic of it

Collected angpaus from relatives then got back here at 3am. Had to make cookies and such until around 4am. Finally ended up not sleeping

The other days were filled with staying at home, goin out to see people, sleeping over at friend’s houses. Until Saturday. Was at KLCC the whole day. Supposed to meet up with a friend who came down from terengganu about making a website for her, but what I did not know was that she invited a whole bunch of chatters I didnt know friends so ended up as a gathering.

Went back, and all the relatives were at the house because my mom organized a dinner at our place since my relatives have not been to our new house. We had roasted chicken, chicken cooked in ginger, mixed vege with abalone, pork talo (a Sarawakian dish a bit like masak kicap but nicer with some spices, serai and stuff, usually cooked with duck), rice and yong tau foo (stuffed tau foo & vege).

Took loads of pics with my cousins, most of which I only see once a year. Will post them up later.

Happy Chinese New year !!

p/s: If any of you want to drop by my house, feel free to do so. Im not having any big makan makan or open hse thingy but we can juz sit and chitchat while eating goodies and u can collect angpaus. LOL!

I went to play tennis for the first time on Raya eve (9/1) at erin’s place. It was really fun - albeit the fact that I didn’t know how to play. Was hard at first concentrating on the ball and missed so many times but got the hang of it after a while. I hv tis slight bruise on my arm when erin accidently hit me using the ball. Ouch!

Woke up on the 10th with my shoulder and back aching a little. Went to beraya at Sid’s hse. His mom cooks fantastic food - lontong, lemang, beef, chicken rendang, nasi minyak. Yummy!! I think i had 2 helpings or more (so much for the exercise in tennis the day before ). I dont really like to eat lontong, so had the nasi minyak & chicken which was really fantastic. Then we had desserts - chocolate cake, small oranges, chocolate crinkle (a kind of cookie) and kuih bahulu. My fave!! Spent the whole day at his house, having good conversation and fantastic food. Only went back around 6-7pm.

I was reading a fren’s blog dated 9 jan and somehow got the nagging feeling that it was referring to me. Am i perasan or not? It was about telling someone what you disliked about them. Im known to be very honest in my sometimes hurtful comments, especially if im close to the commentee. Though some might call it callous, insensitive and untactful but i’d prefer to be honest than be a hypocrite. Wouldnt you?
