Been a while since i wrote a proper post. Many things are going through my head and in my life now. Good things, not-so-good things, life changing things. Nothing life-threatening or dangerous tho.

My trip to KK was a blast (will write about Mag’s wedding and our Manukan Island Getaway soon). It was a great way to get away from everything that was happening in KL. Someone was really surprised I was in KK (coz I didn’t tell lots of ppl that I was going) so much so that he remarked, “wah, jauhnye membawa diri?” to which I just laughed. But honestly, it was a great opportunity to spend time with old friends like Mag, Tim, Derek and Rach and also meet new ones like Megan & Benny. Should have stayed there longer but finances did not permit it.

Came back on a Friday evening to KL. Rested the whole of Saturday then went to Kuala Kangsar for Puteri’s and Poker’s.opps..Aznin’s kenduri. I slept most of the way there and coming back. It was a really nice and simple wedding. Its the first time I was early to a kenduri. LOL! (Note to self : NEVER let Afdzal drive long distance if I’m chipping in for the fuel. He drives really really fast and the petrol also finishes really really fast. I think we spent more than rm50 on fuel alone)

I *might* be taking a 2nd degree. Umm.studies aren’t looking too good now. Don’t want to talk about it :(

On another note, I went to Centro (its this club in KL Central) last nite with my two of my classmates and friends. A girls night out with lots of dancing, sweating and drinking.  After that we lepaked at Pelita Bangsar - which at first I tot was Pelita at Jln Ampang then had to pusing back to Bangsar.

My review on Centro (since its my first time there). The area is pretty big with a big platform as the dancefloor. The bar was right in the middle so not much pushing and shoving to get your drinks. The price of the drinks was also not that bad : 1 glass Black Label + ginger ale (was very happy they had ginger ale - weirdly some clubs don’t) = RM 25.30 and 2 tequila shots = RM18 each. The DJ was not bad - R&B songs most of the night then house/techno music after 2am or so. Parking is also really convinient (a big plus!) and only RM4. Sorry, no pics this time. Too lazy to take photos plus my feet were killing me.

Have a great weekend ahead people!

KLUE Urbanscapes

Tuesday

Picture taken from Nick’s blog. Go see more pics there

Gladys and I went to KLUE Urbanscapes for a bit on Saturday at KLPAC, Sentul West around 4pm - mainly to go see what they were selling in the Marketplace, we’re big fans of these flea market kinda things. We couldn’t stay long anyway coz she had plans around 7pm.

For one thing, the parking was terrible. I had to pusing2 a few times before finding parking at this field which was bumpy. Another thing was the marketplace should have been planned out better - coz it was all stuffy and packed. And it was oh so HOT HOT HOT! Everyone was sweating buckets out there.

I bumped into the Persetankan (DFJJ) group (sorry tak ingat nama semua org - Jasmine, Bali, Ikmal, err..siapa lg?) who were sitting relaxing at the side of KLPAC, Su Ann happily shopping with her bf, Carmen and noticed a few bloggers (whom I’m not close to). Omar dtg lambat, kalo tak leh jumpa. Nik Ryu, Ariff and gang were inside but it was rather packed so I decided against going inside (plus also didn’t have much time).

The Random Acts (facebook link) people were there too, doing their Rob thingy. This is where people were walking around looking for someone - screaming out his name, tapping random ppl and asking them. Hehe! Caused a lot of puzzled looks. Funny!

Besides all the goodies for sale - there were bags, and clothes, and wallets and handmade stuff and bangles, accessories, necklaces, hats, bikinis - there was also baked goodies - I spotted Wondermilk with their cupcakes - and a booth of drinks. They even had beer! (tho it was RM12/can)

There was also an outdoor acoustic stage by the lake. That was really nice

Honestly, I didn’t quite enjoy myself there. Perhaps it was the rather cramped space and the heat (I can’t stand heat). Perhaps it was also some people who were there just for the sake of being there and looking cool. “Pretentious” said G. Perhaps I’m just not ‘hip’ enough for this kinda crowd. LOL!

Anyway, it was a really great effort by KLUE - first arts fest of it’s kind I think. Perhaps next time it could be done in a bigger venue?

p/s: No pics from me because it seems that every young person with a DSLR was there. LOL!

One Night at Laundry

Monday
Jun 23,2008

I went for a late dinner (around 10pm) for some good Arab food in Al-rawsha restaurant with Bobby (he used to always comment on my blog before) - a friend who I’ve not met for some time. Mixed grill and bread. Yums! Their portions seemed bigger than previous, so we were both oh so stuffed. We had a good time catching up. Lain kali buat lagi ek?

Around 12.30am, on the way back, I texted Aree asking where she was and the girls were all hanging out in Laundry. So with my jeans, simple shirt and flats I headed down from Ampang to Laundry bar and illegally nicely parked my car at the hill before entering the entrance.

Apparently there was more then just the girls - there was Fariz (who was in KL for the weekend and going back to Johor on Sunday), Ayman, Jazzy, Sam (Ayman’s friend), Sindra, Elaine (Aree’s friend), Kaduk (Aree’s Sarawakian friend) and of course Pam (who just came back from a nasi lemak session) and Aree.

A bottle of Smirnoff Red vodka and some RedBull was half finished and waiting for me. After polishing that one at around 2.30am and we continued upstairs at Sanctuary with another bottle of Smirnoff Red. At this point Aree, Pam & Jazzy left to Aree’s place. At 3am the club closed and we were kindly asked to drink outside. LOL! So we ended up drinking outside in the dark with a bucket of ice and two bottles of mixers and chit chatting.

At 4am we were asked to leave. LOL! With 1/4 bottle of Smirnoff Red left, we decided to go to Ayman’s hse to continue drinking after picking up a bottle of Absolut Pear from my hse and Coke from 7E. So yea, basically we spent the whole nite drinking. Fariz, Elaine and Sindra went back earlier but Kaduk and I slept over at Ayman’s coz I promised to send Kaduk back to Mt Kiara the next day. Finally left in the afternoon.

Out with the girls

Friday
Jun 20,2008

I finally quit my moping around at home and went out on Wednesday. First was tea with a guy friend with whom I’ve been postponing meeting coz of time constraints. Then I met up with Pam, Aree, Jazzy, Ayman & Taufan at Empress Cafe, Curve. I had a bottle of shisha. Wee~ shisha makes me happy :P Then lepaked and chit-chatted with Pam and her friends at Idaman till around 2am plus.

On Thursday we woke up and Aree came over and we had lunch at this nice place in KJ that serves N9 food. Sedap (no pics tho coz we were starving and instantly attacked the food). Then we went over to Bangsar for a pampering session - threading my eyebrows which looked totally bushy and wild and also cutting my hair at PeekABoo which is getting way too long and heavy. Didn’t do much to it, just trimmed it 2 inches and layered it. But I love this new hairstyle, lighter and easier to maintain i think.

That night we painted the town red by deciding to club in Ghetto Heaven @ Zouk. Met up with Jazzy and Ayman there. Taufan also stopped by for a bit. It was just us girls (and Ayman) and it was fun. Not to mention that girls get 2 drinks free and pam gave me hers so I was downing 3 tequila shots on top of 1 jug of Long Island Tea and some Vodka lime.

Went home kinda early, chit chat and had a smoke of the good stuff (lol!) before drifting off into dreamless sleep. Two solid days with the girls has really rejuvenated my spirits. I love you babes >:D<

Pictas! Surprisingly we didn’t take a lot. I was too busy drinking to take and the others were too busy enjoying themselves

Playing Unreal Tournament in class

Saturday
Mar 8,2008

Its been about 2 weeks since I started my final sem. Class so far has been so-so, lots of cancelled classes, one or two missed classes, some classes which lasted only 30 minutes - which is super frustating because it takes me 30-45 minutes to get there (almost 2 hours to and fro).

But the classes this year are fun (well except for that class with Mr H which is a bit boring). We’re doing Character Modeling using 3dsmax & then we’re doing Virtual Reality using Unreal Editor. Yep, the editor for that game Unreal Tournament. First half of the class was spent playing UT. Haha!

Last week, he took 2 days of work to spend time with me. Aww..so sweet I know :P Lots of laughing, talking, eating (well especially the eating), walking around, watching movies, watching DVDs and starbuck-ing (as usual). It was fun.

Speaking of fun, I’m going out with Pam and the gang tonight at Frangipani so see you guys around. Have a good weekend!

p/s: Vote? Vote? I’m underaged and unregisted. LOL!
