I got my new baby - red hot Perodua Viva! Finally! Well I’ve had it for almost a week now, since Thursday (11 Oct) thanks to Azman who rushed the whole process just so I could get it before Raya. Thanks loads! I really like my number plate as well - WQQ then 4 odd numbers after that. My mom is quite happy there are no ‘4′ in the number plate.

The reason why I didnt get a Myvi was because my parents wanted to get a 2nd cheaper car since we already have the Honda. If we were thinking of buying a main car, then a myvi would be good. Plus a Viva is more cost saving in the long run.

So yea, I’ve been really rajin going out lately - esp for movies, thats why there are so many movie reviews i’ve written lately The most recent movie I went to watch was The Last Legion with Jef & Ariff who both bullied me.

Raya this year has been really really quiet - even tho I had a week holiday. Its a week past raya and I still hvnt gone to any open houses this year. However I am invited to a few end of this month. Then there’s the Gegar Ria thing to think about. Need to settle the presentation & also the web conferencing. Not to mention the photography session. (I hope I wont be too busy snapping photos of everyone and eventually not having any fun or even participating )

On a happier note, the Pangkor trip is confirmed. Everyone has paid the 50% deposit (which explains why im broke this month, rm90 for Pangkor, rm70 for gegar) and all 10+1 of us are going - Pam, Me, G, Sonic, Aree, Jef, Ariff, Nik, Craig, Arai + Taufan. Looking forward to having tons of fun there.

Tomorrow (Saturday) I have a DFJJ Meetup at KLCC this afternoon. Im still wondering if i should go or not coz im rather shy and everyone else is like such a professional photographer. But I need to go get my shirt from omar and I have met a few of them during the Rumpun so Im still considering.

For my birthday, I originally planned to just have a small get together to makan2. I was craving for steamboat and hot plate so that was the dinner menu that night. Plus it’ll be easy to prepare, just cut up all the raw stuff, panaskan the soup/broth then let the people cook what they want. (more…)

Turning 22 doesn’t have the pomp and circumstance of turning 21, nor does it have the sweet girl-turns-to-women feel of turning 16. Its perhaps just another step to the big three-oh where we are expected to have successful careers, happily married to an adoring husband and (mayb) have an bunch of adorable kids. Which is still (thank god!) light years away.

I think that birthdays are a time to look back, to reflect on what the past year has been. I always believe that the there are always improvements from the last year. So what has changed? I’ve said goodbye and/or cut down on a few things

• seks rambang (just kidding!)
• staying out late every night - now its usually weekends or 3 times a week
• clubbing every nite - cut down to about once in a month (on average)
• getting drunk - same as above

Been concentrating more on work and trying to go out late nights only on weekends. Im waiting to see how the year ahead will be for me…im actually particularly worried about final project and graduating.
Anyway, Thanks for all the wishes from everyone. I got a few smses - one from as far at NZ (thx yappy!), MMSes from Sarawak (thanks Grace!), online msgs, frenster testimonials, myspace comments and facebook wall contengs.

Looking forward to a small makan2 on saturday with some friends. Yey!

My birthday is coming up next week and I’m having a small makan2 with a bunch of close friends at my house. I wish I could have this big bbq party with free flow of alcohol and an neverending array of food and invite loads and loads of ppl and friends, but coz Im still not making rm300 a day in blogging or have a rich and very generous (if not generous also no point) sugar daddy, I cant do so

Anyway, some people were asking about presents. I prefer if presents are useful and meaningful. Yes I know its the thought that counts but still, do you want the present that you give to someone be put aside, shoved under a bed or in a dark closet, or (unshamely) give it to someone else as a present or worst, throw it away. I got a call at 7am this morning. It was from a friend whom I haven’t seen for almost three years (he was asking for Ben’s num). At one point I did hv a crush on this guy. After talking after a few minutes, he brought up how we used to lepak2 together before and all the silly, stupid things we did.

Then got me thinking about how I was 3 years ago. Young, naive, a small town girl just moved to the big city - no friends, new place. That year was actually a fun, topsy-turvy, up and down year.

I learned a lot of things but also did a few things that could have been handled or done better. It was depressing to look back at those negative things and feel such regrets. But, a dear friend of mine once said, ‘dont look back at the things you did wrong and say that you regret doing it. Instead, think of it as an experience to do things right the next time around’. Following her advice was the way that I ‘got over’ those bad experiences with the promise to do much better the next time.

p/s: Babe, i know you’re hurting. I know that sometimes the future might look bleak and that you have no friends and not as much fun as we have here. But, as cliché as it sound, there is always a silver lining behind the clouds. I cant imagine how hard life can be for you so far away from home, but hang in there. *huggles* ><
