I’m overcome with laziness lately. Don’t feel like doing anything at all.
It was a lazy day today. Woke up early, went to class, came back.
Watched Premonition (which i downloaded) - but lazy to write a review about it. Watched Kyle XY - Season 1 ep1-5.
Lazy to chat. Lazy to go out so much so that I just ate maggi. Too lazy to blog - which is why i just put up photos in my last post.
Lazy to get started on assignments - which is a major NO-NO! Because i have to complete all my assignments and start working on my major project already. (sankai can i just use ur major project idea?)

I found out that my very close friend’s mother passed away yesterday very suddenly. No one was expecting it. The funeral is today. May she rest in peace.
My friend flew back to KK and no one has been able to contact her since then and we are very worried. Babe, if you are reading this, please accept my deepest condolences, and please take care of yourself.

You know that feeling you get, when you wake up in the morning and realize, “shit! what have I done!?!?!” Yea that sickening feeling in your stomach that tells you that nothing will be the same again. Kinda like waking up in the morning with a terrible hangover that the room spins everytime you open your eyes and you see the most ugliest man in the world sleeping naked in your bed next to you. (NO! it’s never happened to me. Thank god!)
It’ll ether end up being so-so (as in all the parties involved go on as if nothing out of the ordinary happened) or extremely well (as in it has a positive effect) or terrible (changing your world upside down in the most negative kind of way).
Technically it was not the morning after. Heck it wasn’t even 2 days after. It was more like 2 weeks after when the subject popped up again.
And yet, I still felt terasa when you said that. Its like I cornered you into doing something you didn’t want to. Of course you didn’t actually pin point it at me. But still I terasa coz you described in general terms that it was not what you would have wanted. And I was disappointed that you should look at it that way. I tot we were on the same page.
Did you even know I terasa? Did you even notice the awkward silence hanging in the air, which you tried to cover by making the radio louder? Did you notice my nervous fiddling with my fingers and biting my nails? Did you notice the strained conversation as I was leaving? I doubt but im hoping you did. Then at least you’d have an inkling that I terasa about what you said.
I feel such regret over what I did - as if its all my mistake.. Thats the thing that annoys me the most - the regret - because I seldom regret my actions but in this case you made me second guess myself.
And i hate second guessing myself
The main reason I went to Kuching for the weekend was to attend my grandfather’s 101 birthday. Yep you read it right, he’s one hundred and one years old in June 07.

Arrival of the guests
So all the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, in laws, neices and nephews all gathered in Kuching on the 9th of June to celebrate at this Chinese Restaurant in BDC area (i forgot the name of the restaurant).

Greeting long lost relatives
The relatives started arriving at around 6.30pm. One of my cousins, Datin Evelyn, emceed the event, starting around 7.30pm with a prayer and blessing from the Reverand on our family, on the food and most of all for my grandfather. Then the 9-course dinner feast began. LOL!

Long life noodles
First was the Long Life Noodles, fried with sotong, crab meat, veggies and prawns. Next was the cold dish (which i forgot to take a picture of) which has Chicken boxing, jellyfish, prawn mayo salad, beancurd and some yam/tapioca fried thingy which was absolutely sedap. Then came the Sea Cucumber soup - a typical chinese dish - which we had to add vinegar to give it an extra sedap punch.

Birthday boy and children
After the Soup we had a cake cutting session where all of my grandfather’s children (who were present) went up to the front with him to cut the cake. Five of my uncles and one of my aunties assisted him in cutting the cake and fed a bit to him.
Then the eating continued. Next dish was my dad’s favourite, stewed pork leg with mantau (bun). I personally dont really like it. Then we had Steamed garupa fish - my sister loved this one, she probably ate half of it by herself.

Butter prawns (and cans of Heineken)
Then we had one of the best butter prawns I had in my life. Not too salty or too sweet, each prawn was crispily fried with a thin batter then coated with delicious buttery sauce. It was soo good, we even took the one from the next table (because they hardly touched it) and finished that one too! LOL! After that I was satisfied and didnt eat anything else.

Yam Basket, Herbal Chicken and 2nd plate of butter prawns
Then we had herbal chicken which was wrapped in foil and cooked with chinese herbs and of course the popular yam basket with vegetables. For dessert we had watermelon (which was not sweet) and honeydew (which according to my cuzzie was very nice) which i didnt eat.

Happy 101 birthday Babai*!
Some random facts about my grandfather:
All in all, it was great going back to Kuching and meeting all my relatives. Perhaps Kuching isnt as ‘happening’ as KK or KL, but its the people there that counts.
