Bikini beach babes

Oohh I can’t wait for Phuket! Less than 2 months to go! So excited. I need to get a new swimsuit though. I’ve had mine for years and looking back at the Pangkor pics, they don’t really fit me well, especially at the bust. Are my boobs getting bigger? LOL!

I wish I had the body to put on a bikini. Yea, in my dreams. Haha! Well at least I can still go window shopping for that one fine day (again, in my dreams) when I can squeeze myself into one. (Hey, at least I am secure about my physical appearance).

hot bikini sexyI really like Vix swimsuits designs, especially their 2008 collection. Take this really hot and sexy bikini on the left.

Its the Vix 2008 Biarritz slider triangle halter top. According to the website, "this triangle top has brass sliders to allow you to expand the top." I can already imagine this under a sheer blouse and slacks or tight jeans and it can be a really nice clubbing outfit. Two in one!

This website has all the brand names of bikinis that I’ve never heard of - Vix Bikinis, L Space Bikinis and Betsey Johnson Swimwear - all for sale too!. But one thing’s for sure, their designs are all so gorgeous.

Now please excuse me as I drift off to dreamland… :P

PC Fair - So not my thing

Thursday
Dec 6,2007

The Pikom PC fair (http://pikom.org.my) is back in town. That’s where all the newest and best deals on computer gadgets and peripherals are available. It starts tomorrow (7 Dec) and ends on Sunday (9th Dec) in the KL Convention Center. A few ppl were asking me if I was going.

Personally I don’t really like to go to crowded places, if I can help it. Then what about clubs? I hear you say. Well, I *chose* to go to clubs and if its too crowded I can step out of the club for a breather. But have you *been* to the PC Fair? You can hardly walk through the throngs of people. And with all the stall owners screaming their wares, its like walking through a mayhem of craziness. Then the traffic jam going to the heart of KL.

I’d rather just stay at home and scout for tech bargains online. I kinda need to go look for new hard disk drives. I currently have 160GB and its filling up fast, what with my crazy addiction TV Series and downloading with VPN. Hehe! And the best part is, I’m not only limited to just this weekend, but updated info on bargains and special deals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They also have coupons to help me save more. Nice!

No more pushing, shoving and squeezing through the crowd to get the best deals!

lions for lambs big poster

Synopsis : Two determined students at a West Coast University, Arian and Ernest, follow the inspiration of their idealistic professor, Dr. Malley (Robert Redford), and attempt to do something important with their lives. But when the two make the bold decision to join the battle in Afghanistan, Malley is both moved and distraught. Now, as Arian and Ernest fight for survival in the field, they become the string that binds together two disparate stories on opposite sides of America. In California, an anguished Dr. Malley attempts to reach a privileged but disaffected student, who is the very opposite of Arian and Ernest. Meanwhile, in Washington D.C. the charismatic Presidential hopeful, Senator Jasper Irving (Tom Cruise), is about to give a bombshell story to a probing TV journalist (Meryl Streep) that may affect Arian and Ernest’s fates. As arguments, memories and bullets fly, the three stories are woven ever more tightly together, revealing how each of these Americans has a profound impact on each other–and the world.

I found this movie to be such an eyeopener. At first it appears to be three separate stories but as the movie progresses, it shows how interlinked the stories are. Its essentially a political drama, with Senators trying to convince journalists about their ‘big plan to save the world’, journalists who oppose and question the actions of the senators and the general public - how they feel about the situation and what do they do about it.

Loads of talking and debating in this movie. Hardly any action scenes so most some will find it boring - to be sure. Go if you’re interested in political dramas and keep abreast of the political issues. It centers around Americans and the war in Afghanistan.

“If you don’t stand for something, you might fall for anything” - Anything that the media, govn or people feed you. Profound words which are shown and explained in this movie.

My love affair with jeans

Tuesday
Oct 23,2007

Have i ever written about how much I love jeans? To me, jeans are an essential part of anyone’s wardrobe. I think I have almost 10 pairs of jeans i think, ranging from light blue to almost-black dark blue to weird colours like white and brown.

Anyway, i found this site that has a whole collection of gorgeous jeans from various companies (some of which I haven’t heard about but they have really fantastic designs & cuttings) like 1921, Diesel, Ag Jeans, Nudie Jeans, Acne Jeans, Seven for All Mankind and lots more.
seven for all mankind
This is an example of a pair of jeans by Seven for All Mankind for women. Its called “Bootcut Stretch Jeans in New York Dark.” Doesn’t it look hot? I really like the colour of it and it also looks very comfortable.

nudie jeans
This is an example of a pair of jeans by Nudie. Very sexy looking and emphasizes the butt. And we like sexy butts don’t we girls? Haha!

However, Tobi is not all about jeans, they have a variety of apparel and beauty products. I saw a whole bunch of earrings that I would so love to buy. But I still really, really like the jeans. What’s really cool about this online boutique is that you can speak to an online stylist and have live chat to help you in your shopping experience.

No more walking around in malls and getting harassed by salespersons. Ah…how convinient

Synopsis : Alice, now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera and L.J., along with new survivors Claire (Ali Larter), K-Mart and Nurse Betty (Ashanti) to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead and to seek justice. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenic experimentation and becomes genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity.

I watched this with the gang the other day when it came out in the cinemas. This is the continuation of the previous Resident Evil movies. The zombie infection has spread to almost the whole human population, and the earth is a barren desert with a few human survivors travelling around learning to survive and escape from the zombies.

Fans of the previous movies will like this sequel. Personally i think that this tops all the previous movies. You really get the feel of the video game with its usual suspense and zombies (including ferocious dog zombies) popping out all over the place. This is a movie full of action, of blood, flames and slicing and shooting. Bring your boyfriend to watch it, he’ll love it.

Synopsis : New York radio host Erica Bain has a life that she loves and a fiancé she adores. All of it is taken from her when a brutal attack leaves Erica badly wounded and her fiancé dead. Unable to move past the tragedy, Erica begins prowling the city streets at night to track down the men she holds responsible. Her dark pursuit of justice catches the public’s attention, and the city is riveted by her anonymous exploits. But with the NYPD desperate to find the culprit and a dogged police detective hot on her trail, she must decide whether her quest for revenge is truly the right path, or if she is becoming the very thing she is trying to stop.

I watched this movie with a guy friend of mine. Its my first time seeing Jodie Foster playing a kind of character that was strong and determined like this one. She looked a lot older (with more fine lines) than when I last saw her. I think she captured the essence of her character very well.

Watching this movie felt like you were there with her, feeling her emotions and turmoil as she struggles with the death of her beloved fiance and the trauma from a brutal attack. You can almost feel the relief that she feels when she buys herself a gun to make her feel safe.

Its a tale of all the evil that can happen out there and our non-chalant attitude which thinks that ‘oh, that’ll never affect me’ until one fateful day. That one fateful day when evil arrives on your doorstep, when you least expect it, when you least want it.

My only dislike about this movie was that it was too damn slow. Argh…so many minutes were wasted on basically nothing. Great movie, fantastic actors/actresses, but oh so lousy timing.

Rating : (*)(*)(*) and half of 5 stars. It would hv gotten a 4 if it wasnt too draggy.

Review : The Seeker

the seeker When Ariff said we were watching the seekers movie I was like “huh? seekers? that malay series looking for ghosts?” Apparently its this new movie called The Seeker : The Dark is Rising. According to the sypnosis, it “is the first film adaptation of the Susan Cooper’s acclaimed novel “The Dark Is Rising”. The film tells the story of Will Stanton, a young man who learns he is the last of a group of warriors who have dedicated their lives to fighting the forces of the Dark. Travelling back and forth through time, Will discovers a series of clues which lead him into a showdown with forces of unimaginable power. With the Dark once again rising, the future of the world rests in Will’s hands.”

Basically this movie is about the forces of good and evil fighting and their hero is a young boy who is suddenly given a huge role in which he knows nothing about. I love the setting of the movie, its like in a small village in england with huge manors, little cottages and snow. But i hated the angles, some of it was messy to the point that one or two shots were terbalik. The storyline was also too simple and predictable - light vs dark, time travelling, boy meets girl and falls in love with her, two funny twins in the family (for comic relief), guardian/mentor who doubts that the hero is the right person but is eventually supportive.

Rating : (*)(*) - I wouldn’t recommend watching this movie in the cinema, go grab a dvd or something
