Lately there has been a lot of new bloggers. These are people who jumped on to the bandwagon and decided that they want to be bloggers because (i)They want to keep a journal online (ii)Their friends are doing it (iii)They think its cool (iv) Even Malaysia’s ex-prime minister is doing it and (v) they want to make money.
The thing about them is, they like open topics in forums asking this and that, hoping to be spoon fed. What they don’t realize is that with the power of google there are so many websites that give really good information. From simple web hosting articles to online HTML/PHP lessons, everything is just at the end of your fingertips nowadays.
Ah, the convenience.
Why should i be involved in your petty squabbles and disputes? That’s what happens when you revolve your real life around your online life. You get too over emotional about something intangible, something you cannot see, something you cannot touch, something that you cannot guarantee that will be there forever.
For example, crazy bloggers who always cari gaduh and get super sensitive over their blog. When they get a malicious email they overreact and say they want to go to the police and all to report. Puh-leese, how most STUPID can those bloggers be?
okay, I understand you have put your blood and sweat in this. But have you thought what if suddenly it all disappears? Does it mean that your life is gone? Wana go commit suicide meh?
My blog has been around since 2004. Maybe not as long as your long 10 yrs devoted to your site. But I wrote my heart and soul in this and if one day it all disappears. Of course, I’ll be sad for a while, but then life goes on.
You put me in a bad situation today. Someone came to me in confidence and I was torn in between telling you, holding to my philosophy that everyone has the right to choose and keeping their confidence.
Well, you won. And he’s going to know that its me who told you. Happy?
I’m not.
If you have a blog in Blogger, you’ll realize that it does not have the option to password protect your posts like Wordpress does. However, there is a way around it, thanks to Vincent which uses Javascript to encrypt and decrypt the text. Here’s a step by step tutorial (complete with pics. YEY!)

I have this hobby. Its creating papercraft. I wrote about this before I think. There’s something about cutting and pasting and creating models that I just like. I can do simple things from a hexagonal shape to something really complex like a japanese castle. It actually depends on my mood.
Not to mention that I’m also a student. Better at typing out assignments in my computer then writing it out with pen and paper. My collage gives us a printing card which allows us to print 500 pages a semester but sometimes I feel that it’s not enough.
Both of these things involve loads of money spent on paper and ink. So I’m always looking for ways to save on printing - like printing in Draft mode - or at least find places where they sell cheap ink cartridges.
I’m using a hp deskjet which I got for free when we bought the family computer - which was a HP desktop computer - and one black ink cartridge costs RM50-60 depending on where I buy it. There are so many different types of printers in the market now - deskjet, inkjet, laser printers, etc - which can be rather confusing. There’s even the all-in-one types like Brother multi function printers.
My solution to my printing problem? I usually get my dad to print it in his office. Especially if i want it in colour. Hehe
Someone in the forum was asking how to make their blog posts appear when someone searches about their posting in google. I gave some short tips on how to play around with keywords.
One example is to write the URL of your post properly and precisely using keywords that people will search for. Secondly is making sure that you have lots of the same keywords repeating in your post. Thirdly is to tag your posts with Technorati tags to define what is talked about in your content.
Oh, one more thing which I didn’t mention was using the ALT=”" tag in images. ALT stands for alternate text and this is the text that pops up when you mouse over an image. Its also used for text to speech programs which really aids people with sight problems to ‘browse’ your site.
Besides making our blog posts appear in Google searches, we also want to promote our blog/website URL to as many places as possible. Put your URL in your business cards, email signature or even your forum signature. Adding a headline animator is even better.
Or submit your website URL to online web directories like dirmania web directory under the right categories so people can easily search for your site.
Hope these tips helped you!
This is program is such a lifesaver for me to download files from rapidshare because I don’t have a premium account. For english instructions, click on Raymond’s link at the bottom. This is a roughly translated tutorial in BM.
Berikut adalah cara utk mendownload file dari rapidshare free (bukan premium account). Cara ni adalah utk automatically reconnect internet connection bila dah habis download satu file. Contoh kalo pegi kerja/sekolah/tido, biarkan program ni on dan bila balik, byk download dah siap.
