There was a big hoo haa yesterday about this advertlets problem. Advertlets domain expired on the 3rd and because of that, every blog, forum or website with their ads was automatically redirected to another website.
I woke up around 2-3pm Sunday afternoon (Sundays are for sleeping in ok!) and I was all geared up to write a post that will bring me moolah but I can’t submit it because it keeps redirecting.
So I deleted the advertlets code and wrote a really annoyed post about the issue. But after that it keeps on redirecting even tho i totally cleaned the code in my sidebar. I even tried to disable all my plugins and delete all my themes. Then I tried deleting the newest post I wrote and that seems to have done the trick. Still not really sure why tho - perhaps its a glitch on my WP coz I always have problems deleting posts & adding categories. Weirdness
Finally managed to fix everything by 7ish and since I wanted to this new theme from neutronics, I decided that I might as well just implement the theme. Isn’t this theme REALLY nice?
Yea the sidebar is still kind of lopsided as of now - one side is longer than the other - but I’ll fix it soon (when im rajin-er).
As of today, the domain is up and running but the problem is not 100% resolved as of yet. I have a feeling that the number of customers will drop after this incident. As for myself, I have been contemplating to remove ads from my blog since last month but I haven’t decided yet.

Speaking of which, I just got an email saying that my hosting is expires on the 15th of January 2008 and my domain expires on the 18th of May 2008 . Just renewed my hosting using Paypal. I think my domain can wait lah ![]()
I got another number. Yea, besides using my main number (012) and my secondary number (019), I got another 0143 number from Happy (which is actually under Digi). Just for calling out tho, coz its bloody cheap. 1 cent per second with a max of 0.99 cents and a max of 45 minutes. Ha? Tak faham? (Dont understand?) Here’s the breakdown:
1 second = 1 cent
2 seconds = 2 cents
3 seconds = 3 cents
99 seconds = 99 cents
100 seconds = 99 cents (max)
101 seconds = 99 cents
2700 seconds (max) = 99 cents
So basically, after 45 minutes (2700 seconds) the call gets cut off. Cheap yes? Of course not as cheap as postpaid lines with free calls/sms/mms Family Plans but still pretty cheap for a prepaid line.

If you’re a student (like me) or unemployed and have no constant income, then its hard for you to apply for a credit card which usually requires all sorts of documents, bla bla bla. My solution is, just get a debit card.
Hafreze was asking me to share my experience of using this debit card so I decided to write the post. There are a few debit cards available in Malaysia, two that I know of is the Public Bank debit card and the Ambank NexG Prepaid MasterCard. After some deliberation, I chose the latter.

Are you addicted to your phone? I guess I am. I use it mainly for calling and sms-ing. But sometimes, i use it to access wap sites like Gmail or Yahoo if i need to get some information fast.
I kinda hate it tho when mobile website that I access using my phone looks messed up, take ages to load because of huge graphics or wrong formatting. How are websites able to provide mobile marketing if they dont even ensure that their WAP sites are user friendly?
I think that companies should not only focus on sms marketing but also on mobile marketing because users are getting more technology concious and user more advanced phones and internet connections so they have to ensure that their WAP sites are informative and easy to use.
Speaking of which, I was reading this article the other day about Mobile Web which states that mobile devices like the iPhone, Nokia N95 8GB and the Nokia N810 are making mobile web easier due to its wide screen and compatibility to run browsers - like my favourite Mozilla.
The article predicted that Mobile Web might take off in the near future as compared to only 15% this year. I think for Malaysia, Mobile Web hasn’t really taken off due to the quite expensive rates of mobile internet and also the devices used.
My exams are over. Finally had my last paper this morning (at 10am) - Probability and Statistics. Its been a bloody long week. Exams on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and today. all 10am- noon. Anyway, I went to the KL International Motorshow (KLIMS) the other day - Saturday to be exact - at PWTC. It was cool. Lotsa cars (and babes but not as hot as i expected) and some concept cars, wonders on wheels and a classic car showcase. Me likes the classic car showcase. Vintage baby
