Starting Sem

I have morning class later today at 9am (which will probably only start half an hour later). Its 3 am now so that means I have basically less than 5 hours to sleep. Im still in this holiday mood. Feeling lazy and sluggish. I was never a morning person (and never will be). Thats the time that i feel the most cranky and easily irritated.

Damn I hate Mondays!

Oh IKEA is having a sale from 28 Feb to early March so I we are planning to go buy some stuff. I better write down my ‘shopping list’ because all my bits of paper tends to disappear :(

• Vase – I want to buy a small vase from Ikea to put all my dried roses from my Vday Bouquet. I hanged them upside down in my room and they’re all a deep almost brownish red.
• Table Lamp – My current table lamp is the clip on type and now that I have a different table, there is no place to clip it. The only place to clip it is on my shelf but that is too far and inconvenient for reading so I need to get one that sits on my desk.
• Bluetooth USB – Mine rosak already from some reason. Maybe because I accidentally kicked it with my feet the other day and it’s a bit bent now. Yea I know im so ganas. LOL!
• Earphones – was looking for my earphones ever since Erin left. I finally found it. Stuffed at the bottom of my laptop backpack and broken in two. Now I wonder who put it inside there when it was nicely on my table the other day. :-w
• Push pins - I want to get some colourful, cute push pins because I just fixed up my notice board in my room.

End of holidays :(

Sori I’ve been abandoning my blog. Been busy enjoying the last 2 weeks of my holidays.

Early dinner at Delicious with the girls

Erin was around since Monday last week and it’s been a week long sleepover. There was a lot of eating and jalan2. Meeting up with old friends from school. Shopping in One Utama. Driving to PJ Digital Mall. Pigging out the whole day with Dominos, sleeping then a huge huge supper at Williams. Gossiping till wee hours of the morning. Sleeping in till the afternoon. It was such fun girls!

Panic Attack

I had a panic attack earlier. Mr T called me saying that I didn’t pass up my assignment. I knew I didn’t – almost never went for class either. In fact, I was fully prepared to repeat the module because I knew I didn’t perform well.

Then he said that I must pass up my assignment tomorrow before 5pm and after checking the assignment they will decide to pass me or not. Its a research report about 3d modeling in any industry of your choice. I have a soft copy of my friend’s work and she did something about 3d modeling in movies – particularly Transformers. It was 22 pages! Including pictures! How the hell am I supposed to do a 20 page report before 5pm tomorrow? The not great part is, when I realized that I won’t be able to complete the assignment before the end of the semester, i deleted my draft.

I canceled all my plans for the nite – was supposed to watch I am Legend at Cineleisure at 12.30am with the gang. Lucky for me, i got on MSN and met another classmate who didn’t send the work as well. And, the BEST part is, he said its minimum  5 pages, not 20 as I originally thought. Gave Mr T a ring for conformation and he said yes.

So now I’m staying up to finish a 5 page report on "3d Modelling in the Medical Field."

Oh, eventually I did go see the movie, went there and came back straight away – no lepak-ing after that. But more on that review later. And tonite (fri nite) im meeting the bebudak jwg. I wana go for shisha!

How to Cheat

** Disclaimer : This blog does not approve of cheating :P**

This is one of the skills I learned in Curtin. Haha! This is the sure fire way that no lecturer/teacher will realize (unless they read my blog hehe).

First you need a small piece of paper and a CLEAR barrel Pen (this is important!)

Unscrew and dismantle the pen

Roll (and cut if needed) the paper around the ink barrel

Squeeze the whole thing into the barrel of the pen, make sure u can still take it out. Take out the paper and write your notes/formulas in small fonts.

See, no one will notice!

Now all the educators who read this will double check their students’ pens :P

Its the end of my exams oredi *yey* but I’m not out of the woods yet. Annoyingly, I still have to go to campus today and tomorrow. Why? Coz I have a presentation to show screenshots of how my final project is supposed to look like. So today, Im supposed to show a draft of how my presentation slides will look like because the project supervisor wants to review it and make additions if necessary. Then tomorrow is the actual presentation.

I have all the screenshots already, just need to put it nicely in a powerpoint and type out a few words of explanation. What a bloody waste of time it is to go to cyberjaya today just to review my slides. *sigh*

Here’s how my index page looks like :D The interface is all finished, now i only need to get the PHP & Database coding done.

Projects & Mardi Gras

Its soo hard to describe how relieved I felt after finally passing up my Major Project Documentation on Friday Evening. Stayed up for 3 days with only a 30 min nap in between. Went to go and pick Linda at around 9.30am (coz i got lost getting to her place at Precint 9) then had breakfast at Putrajaya before goin to campus around 10 ish.

Loans and scholarships

My sister, G, is currently applying for loans and scholarships to support her education – she just completed her A-Levels in Law. She was in my room the other night trying to fill out forms to apply for the PTPTN loan and was a bit confused. Then I was wondering, how nice would it be to have a website which listed down the types of scholarships available.

There is a place to get access to an extensive list of financial scholarships. And its so easy to use, you just register using your email. Then they will ask you for your current year of study (and when you’re expected to graduate) and whether or not you are a US citizen. Then you can search for any types of scholarship you want to the university or college of your choice.

They also offer useful resources for students, like how to choose the best college and how to apply for the many scholarships available on their database. You can also search for the best college for you based on your area of study, state and type. The system will then give you relevant and accurate information based on their up-to-date list.

And the best part? Its Free!

I’ve been busy with my midterms these two weeks so hvnt been hanging out a lot with my friends – Pam, C, Arip, G & Fa fa. Been sleeping early and getting up at 3am to study.

But I got my last paper today – which is a boring boring ethics paper – and hopefully we can go out tonite :D Yey! Wish me luck!
