I heard about this in Tammy’s blog a few days ago – actually she’s been talking about this project for a few weeks now, even before I went to Perth.

At first I thought its a typical spa with massages and steam room, so I checked out their website http://www.lifecode-antiaging.com/

Here’s an excerpt of what they believe in

I was actually quite interesting in the Miracle ST (Super Tourmaline) Rejuvenation Therapy. It uses chinese herbs essential mist, quantum skin activators, micro elements water and gemstone treatments.

2. Quantum Skin Activators will boost immediate whitening and skin rejuvenation
3. Essential Herbal Mist Complex for its detoxifying, anti-cancerous and slimming properties

Also, if you see their website, they have a lot of certifications and quality control such as USA FDA, European EEC, Halal certification and many more. So its very safe for everyone.

My Online Shopping Addiction

My name is IcedNyior and I’m an online shopaholic.

Its weird you know. Ask any of my friends like Pam or Aree and ask them how I am when we go out shopping. I’m usually the one who tags along, gives comments and only once in a while do I buy something – and that is quite seldom.

However, online shopping hit me like a mind blowing orgasm. LOL! Its so hard to stop myself from transferring over money for this or that item. Sprees are the worst!

Sprees are when people all gather their orders and order stuff from international websites like Bath and Body Works, Victoria Secret, Sephora, Amazon, etc then save on shipping costs. Its usually organized by two people – one in US and one over here. So the websites ships the items to person in US who then ships it to someone here who then distributes it to everyone else.

So yea anyway, I got the two packages I was waiting for. Yey! I mentioned it a few posts back coz I have to wait a month for the stuff to get here.

Selamat Hari Gawai~

Ahh Gawai, how I loved goin back to kampung, lepaking with all my cousins, uncles and aunties seeing how much everyone has grown (horizontally and vertically). My dad grew up in a small kampung (village) at Batu Sepuluh (literally 10 miles from Kuching town) with 7 other siblings. He is the youngest of a family of eight. Such fun going ngaban (visiting) all the open houses in the kampung.

Gawai is the Harvest Festival for the native tribes in Sarawak (similar to the Kaamatan in Sabah). It is officially celebrated on the 1st and 2nd June every year. What happens is the whole family gathers together and we have a big feast with traditional food such as ayam pansoh (chicken cooked in bamboo), grilled whole pig, a starchy “pudding” made out of boiled sago and dipped in something like pengat durian (cooked durian paste) – i forgot the name and of course lots and lots of alcohol. Traditionally we drink tuak – which is rice wine – but nowadays its usually Beer (tiger being a favourite choice) and other types of liquor. Then we eat, drink and be merry. \:d/

Another interesting event during Gawai is the Kumang Gawai – a beauty contest to find who is the fairest lass in the Land of the Hornbills – which is similar to the Unduk Ngadau during Kaamatan.
