Money’s not good enough for myNews Bangsar

Posted by on October 30, 2009  |  2 Comments

I work somewhere nearby the Bangsar LRT and usually eat around that area. I needed to withdraw money so I took the escalator upstairs with a colleague to the Bangsar LRT because there’s a Maybank ATM. I owed her some money so I need to break my RM50s I just withdrew.

So around 3.30pm, I went to the myNews kiosk to buy something to break the note. The cashier was a male of mixed descent who was holding a bunch of notes in his hand. I’m not too sure but maybe he was sorting money in the till.

I picked a roll of mentos berry and gave to the cashier. He punched it in and it came up to RM1.50 and I took out my RM50. He looked and the note and made an annoyed face, clearly displeased with the amount of the note. I said “I need the change” and he said “Satu lima” with the same displeased face and refused to even take my note.

I was disgusted and appalled by his behaviour so I said “tak apa!” and my colleauge and I instantly walked out of the shop. So I walked to the 7-Eleven located downstairs.

I bought a Mentos Berry & Twister Apple which totaled up to RM 3.20 and gave my RM50 note & 20 cents to the cashier. It was also a male cashier. He didn’t have sufficient amount in the till to give me my change so he reached under the counter and took out a new roll of RM10s and gave me my change.

I came back into the office and tweet-ed about it and surprisingly, two of my twitter friends had the same experience. (click to see the direct tweets)

Apparently the service in myNews Bangsar LRT is lousy and I doubt I would be going there again.

Edit : I have sent an email to the email address located on their site to complain about this matter. We’ll see the response

I got my cheque from Advertlets

Posted by on June 11, 2008  |  2 Comments

Yey! I FINALLY got my cheque from Adverlets. “But you have no ads on your site?” I hear you say. Well, last year, I had ads in my blog. First Advertlets and, some time after that, Nuffnang (this was before they introduced Glitterati & Titan). After seeing the rather slow trickle of money coming into my account, I decided to withdraw or cash out all RM113.52 of it and delete all the ads. The result was this ad-free blog.

So yea, anyways, finally received the money that I cashed out waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy back at the end of FEBRUARY. Yes! It took them 4 months to pay me (due to some error or another). Oh well, at least I got my cheque already. Now I can add this to my Travel Fund. Yay!

The question now is : Would I put advertlets ads in this blog? Well, most probably not. I do have it on my other blogs tho and its kinda slow. I still think that Malaysian Blog Advertisting companies isn’t a good way to get fast money. What can I say? I can make a minimum of USD5 on a 100 word post elsewhere :P

lego man in 3ds max

Someone said that its been a while since I wrote a proper post. Sorry! Been so busy lah :P Main been catching up with all my pending assignments. Have 3 projects this final sem *die!*. One of my assignments requires a short animation in 3d and this is my character, a lego man/robot. Thats a rendering of my character. I had to add knees to my lego man to allow for better movement later when I animate it. This class is really so much fun! We did bones last week and this week we’re doing skinning. Its all done in 3ds max 6. I actually have 3dsmax 9 but the lab uses 6 so better use 6 lor.

Okay, nuff about school work. I went to the PayLessBooks Warehouse sale last Sunday. It was sooo cheap! Fiction books for RM12 for 5 books and science fiction books buy 1 free 1, even for hard covers. The bf was so excited to see a StarWars hard cover book for only RM18 and a Dick Tracy book. He ended up buying 4-5 books. I ended up buying 8 books- 5 fiction (RM12), 2 science fiction (RM8) and Pulitzer (sp?) Winner book titled "Angela’s Ashes" (RM5). Cheap eh? Oh, we also bought this bookabout personalities of guys based on their horoscopes. Really interesting read.

Hurm, what else? Oh yes, I’m currently very addicted with online shopping. This month alone I spent a lot on online shopping. Which explains why Im kinda broke now.  I mostly buy stuff from overseas that I can’t get here. This is all from LYN forumers who conduct sprees so that the shipping costs will be cheaper. This is what I’ve bought as of now:

  • Biomedics Contact lenses – RM75 for a box <–this one a bit expensive :( found a cheaper shop now
  • White wallet for my sis – RM14
  • Sunsilk Hair Mist – RM4 <–I absolutely LOVE this one!
  • Elf (www.eyeslipsface.com) cosmetics (13 items) – RM100 + USD17.50 <– Decided to spend some money on my sisters about RM50 each and used my paypal to pay for half
  • Bath and Body Works (www.bathandbodyworks.com) Body Splash (3 items) – RM 90
  • Victoria Secret Beauty Rush Grapefruit Blast Body Drink Lotion & Double Body Mist – USD 27.90 <–yea paypal again

Whoa, after listing it out then I realized I really did spend a lot of money on shopping. LOL! Thats almost RM400 (or more) there. Okay, enough shopping till the end of the year. At least its way cheaper to pay via paypal then to withdraw it out in RM (this is to pacify myself for spending alot). Haha!

Damn you online shopping!

Opps..time for class. gtg

[Video] Sufiah Yusof’s Confession on Sex

Posted by on April 9, 2008  |  13 Comments

I’m sure by now we’ve all heard about the Sufiah Yusof, the mathematical genius who at the tender age of 13 was offered a place in Oxford, who now is a prostitute for a living. Perhaps the only reason why everyone is so kecoh about it is that she’s has a Malaysian mother (she’s British people, get ur facts right!) and is a Muslim.

Exclusive video interview on her confession about sex after the jump!

Birthday Prezzies

Posted by on November 18, 2007  |  No Comments

When November comes around, I’m always stumped on what to buy for my sisters birthdays. So instead of playing the guessing game wondering and hoping that the present I bought will be liked by them, I like to ask instantly what they want.

green bagThis year my youngest sister wants a bag. Geez! Do you have any idea how many different types of bags there are? Handbags, clutches, sling bags, graphic bag, tote bags, document bags, and the list goes on and on and on. Not only that, they also range anyway from RM10 to RM200++ for branded bags.
Lucky for me, i stumbled on SaveBuckets.co.uk. All you have to do is type in the product you want and it lists down the prices so that you can compare which one has the best value. After searching for “bags” I found this nice bag (on the left) that would be so adorable for her. It has many pockets for all her stuff and also a earphone outlet for her mp3 player. Plus, maybe I can borrow it to put all my books and laptop. Hehe!

Speaking of mp3 players, my other sister lost her mp3 player the other day and was pretty sad about it. Perhaps it would be nice to give her one for her birthday this year – if I have the money that is.

Make money thru Smorty

Posted by on October 17, 2007  |  No Comments

Some time ago I wrote about a paid or sponsored posts service that I’m which allows advertisers will pay bloggers a certain amount of money to advertise on their blogs. Smorty is a similar service available on the market. It provides you (the blogger) with many different types of opportunities to blog about a wide range of subjects, services and products. You can choose which opportunities are appropriate for your reading audience.

What I like about Smorty is that you can add as many different blogs as you like, thus increasing the possibility of making more money. Unlike some other paid posts services which restricts you to have to write a set number of posts before allowing you to add other blogs. The method of payment used is Paypal – which is one of the securest and popular way to make online transactions.

So what are you waiting for? Register with Smorty and get paid for blogging!

Get pay day loans now!

Posted by on January 23, 2007  |  No Comments

Sometimes unexpected things like accidents, natural disasters or any other situation in which you desperately need advanced money.

One way of doing it is to apply for loans through banks which is a rather tedious and time consuming process. Another way is to borrow it from money lenders but the disadvantage of this is that they charge too much interest and it may be dangerous in the long run.

One good solution to your problem is to get pay day loans. These loans allow you to get the amount of your pay in advance and all you have to do is provide proof of identity, proof of residency, proof of age, and proof of income.

The best part is, you can apply for it online – hassle free!
