A Slice of Heaven by Just Heavenly cakes & cupcakes
Well I usually write food-related stuff in my food blog – Zestful Eats – but I wanted to talk about this contest I won in July (slowpoke yes I know) that has something to do with one of my favourite desserts – cakes! If you’re living in KL and have not heard of Just Heavenly, where have you been? Just Heavenly, started off as home based business (I think) and now has several outlets called “A Slice of Heaven” where you can purchase yummy cakes and desserts without having to make an order (and waiting). Day 10 : Fav Place to eat–Daidomon
Im not so sure why I’ve never written about this place in my food blog – Zestful Eats. I’ve actually been here quite a number of times. Daidomon is this Japanese BBQ place in Great Eastern Mall Ampang. Its all-you-can-eat so you can order unlimited raw fish/beef/chicken/veg to grill on a hot plate. they also have a buffet with precooked dishes for you to eat. I believe it was RM38+? For a more special menu, they have a RM88++ buffet which has Wagyu Beef. I’ll try and write a review the next time I go ok? Where’s your favourite place to eat?

Malbec World Day Wine Tasting by Entwin3
I got invited to a Wine Tasting event last weekend (yes I really was the busy bee last weekend. tee hee hee!) at Opus Bistro in Bangsar. Malbec is a grape variety that is grown/cultivated (sorry not sure of the term, I have no green fingers) in Argentina and the Malbec wine produced are of exceptional quality. The Malbec World Day Event was a series of events which included tasting masterclass, wine tasting, brunch, dinner and tango but I only attended the afternoon session of wine tasting and brunch. The Brunch was mostly Italian with pastas, lasagna and salad. The carbonara was pretty good actually. Should go to Opus and…

Croatian Lamb Peka – The Best Lamb in Town?
I got invited for dinner at Dubrovnik Restaurant in Solaris Mont Kiara last weekend and we were treated to their signature dish, Croatian Lamb Peka. Now, what is Lamb Peka? It’s a traditional Croatian dish of lamb shoulder rubbed with a mix of Croatian Spices and baked in a wood oven under an iron bell. Iron bell? An iron bell is basically like a cover to seal in the juices. Head Chef at Dubrovnik Restaurant, Chef Zoran Djumic, explains the process of cooking the dish. So what do I think? Some restaurants that have the really strong “gamey” smell in lamb but this is not. Also, the presentation might look…
