Spendthrift Woes

I’m such a spendthrift – we call it ‘boros‘ in Malay – someone who ‘spends money prodigiously and who is extravagant and recklessly wasteful’.

Its only the 11th of January and I have somehow finished my allowance for this month which I got during Christmas. Crap. Must have been too much outings during this holidays.

I wonder how it’s going to be like once I’m working? I have to pay back my student loan. The minimum amount I’m supposed to pay each month is RM200 and that is for a duration of 20 years. According to the math, when I’m 43, I’ll still be paying my students loans! So I better pay more that the minimum amount and settle my loan fast.

Perhaps I need to go for credit counseling to curb my spendthrift habits. Note to self, must spend less money on unnecessary things. Either that, or find a rich boyfriend. LOL!
